Another App Store Issue on the iPhone with IOS6

I know this has been mentioned, but I wondered if anyone has contacted Apple about the issue yet. I was playing with my wife's iPhone (she's upgraded to IOS6) and tried accessing the app store with VO. Happily the issue with VO not reading the ratings has been fixed. Now I'm encountering an issue where none of the swiping gestures will work to move up or down a page. Also the headings option in the roter doesn't seem to work either. If I use a one finger flick to the right or left, that doesn't seem to do much either. I "read" where Dave 82 noted 2 options....At the bottom of the screen you can put focus on "App Name, 1 of 1232". One finger flick up or down to go through search results. If you have VO focus on certain other elements such as the app name or category, you can tap and hold with one finger and move from right to left of screen. Although these may be good "work arounds", I'm hoping Apple will resolve this new issue. If it hasn't already been reported, I think it would be a good idea to do so. Thanks for reviewing this post.

You're not supposed to use the 3-finger swipes in the app store, the picker item serves that purpose. Everything works as expected for me on my iPhone 5.

haven't had the issues since noticing the changes on Thursday. Everything works pretty well on my end.

I love the new list option. makes browsing apps a ton ton easier. Like with the audubon apps. I think there are like 30 of them. Rather than using heading movement I can simply be on the list. flick up with one finger. Then flick left a couple of times see how much the app costs. For some reason I just like this. And navigating by headings does work. If there are headings there you will navigate by heading. If there are not you won't. And the apps are in the list like previously said and not in a page like form so no need to do the page up and down swipe in that window. When you view an app by itself all your navigation options are there again because they are supposed to be.

Hi Adam. I'm wondering if you maybe didn't realise that when you're in a list of search results, even though they are presented one per page, you are only presented with basic info on each app, and use the picker as described earlier to get to the app you want. Then you can double-tap on the app name to open the page with all the usual details, and roter items such as headings should work fine. Not sure if that's what you were doing wrong but just in case I thought I'd mention it.
I did not see a picker item when I flicked and this was I think on friday or yesterday when I was playing with the featured and search tabs. so how do I get to it? I'm still a bit confused here. I kind of like the way it was in ios5 but I guess we need to role with the punches as I always say.

Hi Mary. I preferred the previous list of results too but the new way is actually fine once you get used to it. Example: 1. Go to search tab and search for "Apple". 2. The first result you are presented with is Remote. 3. Flick right to go through various elements on screen, in this case they are: Remote. Apple. Free. Entertainment.3.5 Stars. Screenshot 1. Remote 1 of 1262. This last one is the picker. You can also find it by touch near bottom of screen. Flick up to go to result number 2, which in this case is Podcasts. 4. For full app details double-tap on the name of the app, pretty much as you would have done in the old type of list. Enjoy
Thanks a bunch. I'll play with that. I like the old way of doing things but when you had 100 apps on a lot of pages it was not so good. if they organized the purchased tab that way that would be good. maybe they already did. lol! Thanks.
