Is it too late to roll back?

I really, really wish i had not updated to iOS 6. I'm sure it'll get better eventually, but I've already lost all my element labels, and have had to completely reassign rotor controls for Voiceover, not to mention getting sighted assistance to turn it on again every time I reboot. iOS6 is sluggish, music and audio breaks up badly when VO is speaking, and the only thing I really like about 6 is using SIRI to launch apps--but it's just not worth the hastles. I used a program called Nucleus which indicates I only have 88 megs of ram free, and that's with no other apps running. I'm using a 4s. So, is it already too late to roll back?

Hi, if VO doesn't come on when you reboot your phone, simply do the tripple click home 3 times and it should come back very quickly. If it doesn't come back you'll need to set this up in iTunes, it's under universal access. As for the actual question of rolling back, the process is extremely complicated, and it's not something I can even explain because I don't know how it can be done. I've heard people say you can roll back to iOS 5.11 for 30 days after iOS 6, but no one's actually bothered to explain how. So for now you're probably just safer sticking with iOS 6 at least for now.

Unlike previous iOS updates, this one leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm having the same Voice Over reset when I reboot. (According to Apple, I'm the only one on the planet with this issue.) Typing is sluggish. My battery life seems shorter. When asked what my favourite new feature is, I'm hard pressed to think of one.
I’m sorry, but I’m not sure why you’re experiencing these difficulties. Do you have the triple-click home feature enabled on your phone? Like Toonhead says, you could toggle Voiceover on and off if you chose that in your settings. I also have an iPhone 4s, but I’ve never encountered this issue before. A suggestion I heard on one of the other posts is to close all of your applications from the app switcher. The person was struggling with a different issue, but I believe that this idea resolved the problem. I've also read that you can try performing different varieties of resets on your phone—a network or hard reset, etc. You can even perform a factory reset, but I would do the smaller types of resets before doing anything large. Other than that, I really can’t give you anymore advice about what you described. Maybe you are aware and know how to do all of these things, and if that were true, then I apologize for the useless information.

It might also be that your phone is nearly full. That could be the size of your phone's memory. You might want to find out how much free space you have, and if you don't have enough, you might consider removing some of those apps that you don't use, if you have such things.
Yep you can find out how much memory you have on your phone via iTunes. 1. Connect your phone to the pc using the provided USB sync cable 2. If you have iTunes set to open when your idevice is connected, it'll come up. if not, you'll need to launch iTunes manually. I personally have mine set to start when I want it to. 3. In the sources list, choose devices, and then if you arrow down once you should see your phone with the name you gave it during setup. 4. the summary radio button should already be checked so if you tab around you should be able to find out loads of info about your phone like the name of the phone, battery status, software version, serial number, etc. somewhere in there, I can't remember the actual sequence but somewhere in there you should find out how much capacity your phone has, how much is taken up and how much is free. If the capacity is almost full, feel free to remove apps or music or other content that you don't use. Also the suggestion about the app switcher is good. I try to keep my app switcher empty most of the time because it really keeps my iPod from getting sluggish. That kind of thing very rarely ever happens since i installed iOS 6. Good luck, i hope this helps some folks.

Thanks for the suggestions. First, the first thing I do is to enable triple click for voice over. Second, I stuck out over five gigs free on my phone. Third, iOS have the app switcher as empty as I can get it as well-especially since I installed iOS six, since even just a couple apps can make it sluggish. I wonder if there's a way to try reinstalling the New Version? Maybe that would help? Reinstall iOS six?
