Please tell me what u think. Visually impaired users say iOS 6 App Store redesign is a downgrade http://appleinsider.com/articles/12/09/26/visually-impaired-users-say-ios-6-app-store-redesign-is-a-downgrade
1. I think the Store is a little slower because parts of it are not in native code; that's annoying at times.
2. Also, screenshots have no alt text any more, thus introducing gibberish with VoiceOver. this is easily fixable though
Ever since I learned how to navigate the app store via headings, life has been a lot nicer. I can very quickly update an app to a new version and even download a new one very quickly as well. If you don't use the rotor gesture and flick around to headings, yes it'll frustrate you beyond belief. But, for me at least, it's fine, in fact I think it's a lot faster now actually. Most folks won't agree with me, but hey i'm used to it now. lol!
The biggest problem I have is that the app store no longer reads the app ratings. For me, that is a big factor on whether I even consider it or not. Yes, the reviews can still be read, but knowing an app's overall rating is very important.
The other point i want to make is forget about the appstore, but just look at the fact that accessibility is getting mainstream atention. I was excited to see a a11y article on appleinsider wich is a mainstream and popular source for apple news. Millions of people read the blog.
