hey dear applevis users,
Since i installed IOS 10 on my IDevice (an iPhone 6), the way i am getting notifications has changed.
First, you would get a pop-up window with the alert it selves. Now, i get a banner at the top of the screen. Why is his? To me this doesn't make sence, because it looks like the banner feature but it stays on the top of my sreen. Did i anything wrong? If i didn't, what shuold i do?
since early,

Banner notifications in iOS10
Atually I like the new style of notifications in iOS 10 better. Rather than having a pop-up in the middle of the screen that needs to be dismissed, the notifications in iOS 10 are at the top of the screen and don't interfere with whatever app you are using or article you are reading. The notification will stay at the top of the screen until you are ready to deal with it. I think this is a nice touch.

This is the way it's always
This is the way it's always ben since ios 5 actually. Just if you can get it in time flick down to more after touching the banner. If not you can find it the normal way.
Speaking of notifications...
Hello,
I am not sure if it’s just me so I’ll ask.
In IOS 9, VO would read the notification aloud to me as it pops up on the screen. For example, if a text message comes in, it would say notification, message then it will say who it’s from along with the message. Now, in IOS 10. VO simply says notification and nothing else. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Yes
Correct. Now sometimes notification does it and sometimes does not. I think notification is broken with VO. Even message does not work well.
Notification in iOS 10
I am hearing most notifications in iOS 10 as I did in previous versions. The difference is that, instead of the notification appearing as a pop up in the middle of the screen, the notification now appears at the top of the screen without obscuring the app you are working with. thus, you can still interact with the app or document you were working with before the notification appeared, but if you are interested in dealing with the notification you can flick or tap on it at the top of the screen. Thus you don't *have* to deal with the notification as soon as it pops up but can wait until it is convenient. I think this is a very good way of doing things.

Is there a way to go back to the old style of notifications?
Actually, I really hate the new style of notifications, because every time I get a message it is read to me straight away, whether I want it to happen or not. This is especially not good if I am recording in an App like Roger, whoever I am talking to now gets to hear my private message. In IOS 9, I had my notifications set to alerts only, it would say "notification" and I would have time to exit whatever App I was in before it read aloud. Also, the notification would still be on my screen so I could deal with it straight away. Will the old pop-up notifications come back if I change my settings?
Nothing new
The static popup that appeared in the middle of the screen and forced you to deal with it has been gone for years. Am I misunderstanding what you are asking about? I just got iOS 10 and the notifications seem to behave as they have for the last several major versions.
