Hello all!
I have an ipad mini 4 running ios. 10 & am looking for some app recommendations for an accessible weather app. I tried Read Me The Weather, but the app store says it's not available for the US. I also tried AccuWeather, Weatherbug & The reather Channel. I found weatherbug & accuweather to be inaccessible despite trying to find work-arounds.
I'm looking for an app that is accessible (I have no vision). If possible, I'd like to have the allergy forecasts, & health forecasts also.
I appreciate any help & recommendations!
Thank you in advance!!

Weather Underground & Dark Sky
I rarely use an actual weather app, other than occasionally asking Siri. I do however use the IOS weather Underground site:
i.wund.com
I just have a Safari tab open to this site, and if you wanted to you could put a shortcut on the home screen.
I do however really like the Dark Sky app. It's great for alerting you to bad weather, and when it will rain or snow. You can get notifications of bad weather starting and stopping, and an hourly breakdown of what the weather will be like. I find this really helpful when planning to go out on cloudy days. It's pretty accurate too.
Weather radio is another one.
Hi. If you don't mind spending a little money, I think this app is five dollars American, it has things like the ten day forecast, I am pretty sure alergy things might be given, but you can set it to give you almost anything you need. flood, tornado, freezing blizzard etc. You have to upgrade every year to be told if lightning is in your area, again another five bucks, but in the end I haven't decided if i'll renew that one next year. Not being able ot see the lightning it is nice ot hear, "Lightning alert," or "Lightning has been detected in your current location." Of course if you get a thunderstorm warning or watch it will gladly tell you that. I think the company name is digital technologies, just search for wather radio. If I'm not mistaken, it should be on the applevis site somewhere. The only con to this app is that it doesn't tell you the phases of the moon, something not curcial, but nice to know with the old weather app Apple used to use. Hope that helps somewhat.
Weather Apps
Hi,
The weather apps that I use are Overcast, Dark Sky, Storm Shield, Weather Office, and Thundery. I hope this helps! Have a good day!
Hi.
Hi.
AccuWeather works well. It's a little sluggish, but it works fine for my needs. The buttons are labeled wierd, but it works perfectly fine for my needs. The Underground app works well. I also use Dark sky, carrot weather, forecast now, which provides government weather info from the NWS.
yr.no
I use the native Weather app in iOS and I also use a app called yr.no. The yr.no iOS app doesn't give that much info, but it is very accurate with info about rainfall, wind speed etc.
Between Those two apps I get enough info for my needs.
I use weather radio by
I use weather radio by weather decisions technologies I think it's called? It was formally called imap weather radio. It's very accessible and you can get lightning alerts for lightning in your area for a subscription.
Weather apps I use
I would recommend the following three. Dark Sky, Menu Weather, and Weather Radio, formerly iMap Weather Radio.
