Does anyone have experience with using googl hangouts on the mac using chrome or safari? Which works better? I was trying to answer or make a call and can't figure out how to do it. Does the desktop client work better? I tried with messages as well, but it isn't working correctly. Thanks.

To make a phone call with Google Hangouts, enter the name or number of the person you want to call and press return.

To make a video call, click start a video call and enter the name or email address of the person you want to invite. You may need to select the contact by pressing VO right arrow and interacting with the combo box that shows matches for what you typed.

If this is the first time making calls on your Mac, you will be prompted to install the Google Talk plugin. Once installed, you will be able to make voice and video calls from your browser.

When using something like hangouts, I have found that chrome overall works better than the plugin for safari. this could just be me, though.
