OmniFocus 2
You could try OmniFocus 2, though I believe that it is not on too many platforms, but I do not use it, so do not know.
Any.do
Hello Trey, this is an app called any do – and sounds like the one you're looking for. I use an app called any list, it's geared more for shopping list that you may share with your shopper or family member. Any list is a very accessible app if you choose to download it and give it a try I think you'll like it, the any do list also seems very accessible Also with my brief Time I played with it.
Hope this helps – have a great day
Google Keep
Hello There.
I have something that's cross-platform. I'm not sure if it's an app but it's something you can use cross-platform. Look into Google Keep. I heard about this on The Tech Guy hosten by the This Week In Tech or TWIT Network. If you'd like to know ho this works, you can visit www.techguylabs.com.
You'll get all the show notes for every eppisone of The Tech Guy. I wish I could tell you the episode number, but sadly I cannot remember it off the top of my head. Hope this helps & good luck @ your 2nd year of college!
Here are my recommendations
Hello,
First of all, I’d wish you very good luck on this academic year. I am jumping to the second year as well, but the university starts on October in my country, so I have still much free time to enjoy.
I have a question, what kind of apps are you exactly looking for? You have notetaking apps, reminders, calendars which you can use to track events such as conferences, seminars etc. However, they are already on your iOS device, so you may not need to download them. My first suggestion is dropbox which is cross-platforms. If you, for example, prepare a project on your windows machine, you can upload it to dropbox and read it for yourself on your iOS device. Dropbox’s space is limited to 2 GB, so you may alternatively try Mega which offers much much more, 50 GB, and it is accessible with Voiceover. Next, integrate Adobe acrobat reader DC to dropbox, and read PDF documents comfortably. It’s not the same as on windows, believe me. It’s a completely different experience. A good news is that you can copy PDF documents to iBooks from dropbox and read them there. iBooks has a great feature I love, that is the switching of pages automatically, so you do not have to stop and manually do that. For docs, I use Google Docks and Microsoft word. They are not perfect for reading long documents on iOS but sometimes I have no choice. If you need to collaborate with your professors through emails, you already have a great client built-in your iOS device I use a lot to get lectures from my professors. If you have a windows device, use Mozilla thunderbird. It’s greatly accessible with all screen readers. I study English language. I am not a native speaker, so sometimes I need to look up words on dictionaries. If you are an American, use Marium Webster dictionary; it’s wonderful and it works offline, after all. You may not need to check words for their meanings, but sometimes a dictionary may come to hand.
Other app recommendations I cannot think of momentarily, but if I find one, I’ll comment again.
Cheers!
