Isn't there an easier way to create folders?

Honestly, I think that Apple should send this dragging business to hell, or find an easier way to move apps around. That is, if there isn't already one. Does anyone know of a solution? Just me and my iPhone here, so no keyboard/computer ideas please.

I'm not sure how much detail I can go into, so all I'm going to say is that once IOS 10 is official, you will be a much happier camper. I could never wrap my head around the dragging concept, so always kept my apps in alphabetical order by periotically resetting my home screen to factory defaults. Now, every single app I have is in one folder or another. Again, I don't think I can give details, but I will say that this is the way arranging apps and making folders should have been all along! So, if you either try the public beta or just tough it out for another month or two, I can practicly guarantee that this problem will be a thing of the past for you.

Looking forward to it then.

Agreed, once iOS Ted is out, creating or moving files will be a piece of cake.

Yes, in the beta folders are easier to create and when it comes out you will be happy though you can still use the method you do now if you wish. I never had much problems dragging, but to each's own. You will like the change.

I'm not going to mention too much here, just to let you guy.cover, but you will use the Rotor to move the apps. There will be three options added to the Rotor, move before, after, and on top of, and i think there will be a start moving option which does the hollow through of the double tap and hold.
You guys can discover the rest when the official iOS 10 is released.

Hi all, I too am looking forward to that easier way to move apps and make folders. And did I hear right? Will there also be a way to delete appsthat come with iPhone that you don't want and know you'll never use? Thanks.

In iOS 10, Apple will let you delete some of the apps that come with the device, but you won't actually be deleting them. All the action does is remove the icon from the home screen, as well as remove any data associated with the app, which is usually not much. Any deleted app can then be added back from the App Store, which really just unhides the icon on the home screen.

Since you basically don't save any storage space by removing a built-in app, I wouldn't really bother, in case you ever run across a situation where you might want to use the app. I just leave them in a folder called "Extras" and let them be. I have already taken a couple of apps out of the "Extras" folder after finding a reason to use them, which for me is easier than having to go to the App Store and finding them there.
