We have it at our house and I've downloaded the TiVo app, but i haven't played with it yet. I'll have a fiddle with it and report back.

I have used a TiVo with it's app for more than 2 1/2 years and have been very pleased. The app has worked well for me with only 1 minor hiccup that was cleared up in the next update after working with customer service and the app devs. I did have some sighted assistance during the initial set-up of the main unit but the app has been entirely accessible. If you search "TiVo" on this site, you will find another thread with more details.

Hi. Can you set recordings and play them back at a later date with this app? I'm considering getting the box but I don't know how accessible it is with the app. Can you also download and watch movies with AD or isn't that service available as I know Sky have this a similar service which is called Sky Cinema.

Yes, the accessibility of the app makes it possible to independently schedule recordings and playback programs while being unable to view the screen. Depending on your TiVo unit, shows can either be played back on the TV or streamed through the app. For programs with AD, the show must be watched through the TV, as the description track will not stream through the app (I have been told they are working on fixing that issue). I am not familiar with Sky or SkyCinema, but I am able to play Netflix programming with description.
