Description of App
iTunes App Store Description:
Blindfold Solitaire is a fully accessible Solitaire card game for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.
Blindfold Solitaire includes Klondike 3, the typical game of solitaire where you build all four suits from ace to king in separate piles, and 28 cards are dealt into seven piles on the tableau, where the first pile contains 1 card, the second pile has two cards with only the top card showing, the third pile has 3 cards with only the top card showing and so on. Each time you draw from the deck, you get 3 more cards.
The cards are not visible; instead, you play by listening. You can flick left or right, or up or down, to hear the cards. You move a card from one pile to another by tapping on the screen twice to start the move, and then tapping twice again to complete the move. A complete guide to the gestures is included in the help.
Blindfold Solitaire tells you if a card can be moved to the foundation piles, and can be set to move the cards automatically. You can customize the game to your liking: how much extra information is spoken and how quickly it is spoken.
Blindfold Solitaire was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Racer and Blindfold Blackjack.
There is a STARTER PACK in-app upgrade that unlocks all settings features, and gives you a second Solitaire game: Klondike 1 (where you get 1 card at a time instead of 3 cards at a time). We'll be adding more Solitaire games as in-app upgrades.

Three card deal
In this instance, the game flips three cards but only shows you the one on top. This is more difficult to solve then the flip one game, but it is the Traditional Way, solitaire plate.
3 card deal
The game has been out for about 2 years, and this is the first report I heard of this.
Does it speak all three cards, but only show the first, or does it only speak the top card?
three card Klondike
Hello,
I admittedly might be wrong in my understanding of the three draw solitaire game. Some indicated to me that they play other versions that allows you to manipulate three cards at a time (I.E> see three cards at a time).
Currently, it is consistent in what it does at least; it only speaks the top card and shows the top card.
3 draw solitaire
The game will tell you all three cards, but it doesn't let you change the order of the 3 cards. That's the official rule of Klondike-3.
Swipe down with 2 fingers to hear all 3 cards.
Just downloaded this game.
Just downloaded this game. Clearly, I've never played it before because it's nothing like I thought I remembered it. I have no clue what to do and the instructions in the help section don't really help me either. If there is a podcast out there that goes through the game step-by-step, I would like to hear it. Any progress on how to play solitaire/Klondike?
Help goes Silent
Hi. So, I'm still trying to work out how to play this game and, doing a 3-finger tap and holding down for a second does bring up the help but then everything else goes silent. I have to go out of the game, go to the app switcher and then go back to the game in order to read the gestures help. Are you awear of this?
Silence
If things are going silent after that screen, its due to an iOS bug that popped up in version 9.1. I added a work around in many of the games; I will add the work around to that area as well. By the way, some of the testers are working on a podcast to explain how to play.
Thanks and possible bug?
Finally getting the hang of it but my husband thinks there may be a possible bug. When you have gone through the deck and are going to take your second pass, your top card in the first 3 that are dealt out is the same as it was on the first pass. In reality this would not be the case as the top card in the first deal on the second pass is what would have been the bottom card in the first deal of the first pass because if you were playing with a physical pack, you would turn the whole deck over.
Unselecting a card
Is there a keystroke to unselect a card? Currently, if I select a card to be moved and then decide I can't move it, double tapping that card again just says you can't move that card onto itself basically. Is there a trick that I am missing?
Bug in latest version
Hello, Something I have started noticing is that sometimes when you use a three finger tap to draw a card, it doesn't always play the sound and announce the new drawn card yet if you touch the waste pile it has in fact drawn a new card. I can't give you a rhyme or reason to it but it seems to be in the latest version of the app. Note this is specifically been confirmed in the Klondike deal 1 card instance.
Cancel a move
Shake the phone or swipe down with 3 fingers
deck
you are correct. and you are the first person to mention this in 3 years.
i could add an option to shuffle the deck, but anything else seems prone to making the game less stable.
i'm always reluctant to go back in and fix something that, if I get it the least bit wrong, might break many things.
Shuffling the deck
Well, perhaps this would be a fix for it if you can do it without making the game on stable. It seems to me, but especially in three card Klondike, there are cards that you will probably never see if you don't.
Has anyone actually succeeded?
I realise that this game is supposed to be challenging and, I don't mind that, but, my husband also downloaded the game and is having just as much trouble as I am. While I know you will probably feel more often than you succeed, I do Believe that not being able to shuffle the deck and therefore miss some of the cards out, certainly does not help you to solve this game. It's like having some of the deck totally missing. I'm curious, has anyone actually solve this game?
Purchasing Upgrades
Ok. so I'm now a blindfold solitaire addict (is there a group for this lol), and have bought the upgrade. Our phones are set up with family sharing so does this mean that my husband can take advantage of the upgrade or will he have to buy it again in his own right?
family upgrade
Please contact me directly at marty@blindfoldgames.org about this.
yay
I just went ahead and bought all the packages and will now be learning how to play this. I really like the type of games.
question
I bought all of the things. I have a question. I am playing freecell and cannot find the waste pile.e
user guide
Check the free cell user guide - here's a section:
There are three different types of piles in FreeCell.
There are four free cells. Each free cell can hold one card. To get to the free cells, tap in the upper right half of the screen.
There are four foundation piles. To get to the foundation, tap in the upper left half of the screen.
The are eight piles tab-low piles. To get there, tap in the bottom half of the screen.
There is no deck or waste pile.
The deck is fully dealt to the tableau when the game begins.
oops
I forgot that they didn't have any. I should have responded earlier but kind of didn't. Will the game tell me if the situations are blocked or will I have to see that for myself? Freecell and Spider are my favourites.
