At the bottom of the screen, where it says "home header alpha", "friends header alpha", etc., there's an unlabeled button, between those two I think. That takes you into chat, and then it's just like normal.

Oh. Did someone bring this to ther attention I don't speak spanish and they don't respond to emails so I have no clue if they get them.

I did contact them in English about accessibility what we could do is write up a post in English then use google translate to put it into Spanish and ship it off that way. Then while we are at it we could direct them here like I tried to do not knowing about this forum topic. I have no idea what my username is much less how to find it. It would be nice if you can have unlimited lives because I play a lot of games and by the time I get done all of my turns, I can't accept any new game requests because I ran out of lives. Love the game though.

A few questions about trivia crack:
A. When I win a match I am awarded three points. Are these the same points I can spend two, say, skip a question, etc?
B. Once in a great while somebody will reject a game. Why do they do this?
C. What is the criteria for achieving a new level? I ask this because sometimes I achieved a new level and I haven't won a game in that round.
D. What is the benefit of beating other players? Is there more than one way to gain a level?
E. Are there deleterious side effects to having a bad ratio of right answers to wrong answers? Other than the fact that you won't win as many games.oh, and the fact that other players can spot your weaknesses by scrutinizing your stats.
F. I sometimes use the SKIP option but what does the BOMB do?
G. If anyone wants to play against me my game name is GordoCerdo17.963. But how will I know you, your game alias may be different from your AppleVIS alias?
H. What actual effects do the ratings have, i.e., boring or FUN? might a question be removed because of the ratings?

I just finished a game with someone and, when it took me back to the main list (that says "new game", "their turn" "pending" etc.), I had a little thing at the top of all these lists that said something like "collect, collect, add". That's all VoiceOver would say and, when I tried to tab through to get to the other options, my TriviaCrack app first locked up and eventually crashed. It continues to exhibit these behaviors every time I've started it up.

Is anyoene else having these issues? If so, how do I fix this without losing my current data such as scores, rankings, games played, etc.? Also, what is this "collect, collect, add" thing? Once, when I clicked on one of the "collect" things, it made a clicking noise but I couldn't tell what that noise was.

Also, below the "collect, collect, add" thing is a thing saying "get new cards".

This is in response to the person who said their app kept crashing. I've only experienced this once so I don't know why it happens to you all the time but one of my friends is having the same problem. Also, the cards are a new feature. Every time you answer a correct question, you fill the gem meter, x/50 and then you win a gem. Click the get more cards button and then click the push button. There are three, push the first one. After that you get a card and that card can be added to an empty slot which will give you a bonus. I don't know what the bonus does but that's how it works. Apparently you can also trade cards but I haven't figured that out.

OK, guys, on occasion, I've always gotten a screen that suddenly appears and says something like "app boy slid oop" or maybe it's supposed to be "app boy slide-up"? In any case, it didn't go away when I tried double-tapping it with VoiceOver on, so, what I used to do was just close down the app and bring it back up and that would get rid of the "app boy slid oop" screen.

However, in the latest version, I tried that and nothing happened. So, I turned off VoiceOver and tapped near the bottom of the screen. While it got rid of the "app boy slid oop" screen, I'm not sure what else it did in the process.

Any ideas?

OK, so, I don't know if they've released a new update recently, but, now, the game is crashing worse than it usually has been.

Anyone else experiencing this now?

Also, seems the developers just keep giving us lip service about correcting these issues on the rare occasion when they respond. I think we just need to keep after them. A squeaky wheel will eventually get fixed, as it were. Also, maybe a bit of Twitter shaming for those of us who are on there will do the trick. (I did this for Duolingo and it seems they finally addressed the accessibility issues.)

The crashing problems with VoiceOver have been fixed in the latest update.

Does anyone know if there is a way to search the question bank to see if there is already a question like the one you want to submit before you submit it so that you don't wind up submitting a duplicate question?

No ther never has been a way. This woudl be classified as a form of cheating. If the community sees it as a repeat they will let you know.

just to warn you that Trivia crack's VoiceOver usability is gradually improving.
Latest 2.8 update has most buttons labelled, for example the values regarding the store, lives, spins, coins, gems ... and the dock at the bottom of the screen: stats, home, chat, menu.
The only part which is not yet accessible is the bonus values of cards, for example it says, "chief tito: 6 every 16 hours", instead of saying "6 spins every 16 hours".
But they are working on it.

Is anyone else having an issue in the latest version where the question isn't read out? For me, the list of answers and power ups is read out but the question is nowhere to be found, I can't even find it when tapping or sliding my finger around the screen.

As previously discussed in this thread, the questions are not being read in some circumstances. It appears this happens when playing against a second opponent in a single game session. If you close the app in the task switcher, and reopen it for each different opponent, it does not appear to have an issue reading the questions.

Yes, it's clunky, but it seems to work for me.

For me I can get the question faster then the 20 seconds. Plus I d't have auto update turned on on my device so I'll keep trivia crack as I now have faith they will fix it.

sorry if you didn't hear from me, about Trivia Crack; latest 2 updates were not that happy, for accessibility, and I noticed someone already wrote that.
Now, I find 2.14 version, very funny to play; accessibility issues have been solved, and now questions are read automatically by VoiceOver, both in challenge and in classic mode. I am having a lot of fun with it, even because when you miss a question, it reads the correct answer to you, so you know what to answer if you meet that question again.
Now, there is another issue on the dashboard, the VoiceOver focus jumping here and there randomly, but nothing preventing playback to go on, it's on trivia's home and not on the gameplay itself.
Card bonus values now are correctly readable, I heard a new machine is coming so I'll update the cards database accordingly.
I contacted the developers during the time where serious issues were there, both on reddit and on e-mail
and they answered me. Don't know if it's just luck, or it's because I gave them a step by step procedure for issues, as I was writing a professional bug report.
Reporting bugs is part of my job, so I don't distinguish what is a hobby or what is work, when I talk to developers it's like I am Always working.
I also made them aware of the 20 seconds timing too short for a VoiceOver user, hoping they will increase timing.
But I am not sure they will fix this issue, as TriviaCrack is multi-Platform and I know iOS has a code line which can allow programmers to control if voiceover is on or off; but for facebook's game - http://apps.facebook.com/triviacrack - and android app, I do not think there are ways to control if a screen reader is turned on or off.
So, I cannot be sure this fix is technically possible; they should increase the global timing, allowing also sighted people to have 30 seconds instead of 20, and I'm not sure this is what they may want to do.

this latest update has fixed the bug which caused a second game in a single session to have issues. Now, we can play through several games without the need to kill and relaunch the app between each game.

Hi, yes, in latest update it is really becoming better and better, now it is no longer needed to kill the app.
I just contacted etermax to tell them about the issue of jumping VoiceOver focus on the game's dashboard, and to suggest them to increase the question's timer to 30 seconds again.
They answered me they are going to do their best. This does not mean warranty, but at least I had feedback.
I'd also suggest reddit community to contact if you've trouble.

OK, so, it seems that the ability to submit questions is still inaccessible, at least to the extent that which answer is wrong and which is right is not indicated by VoiceOver.

So, off-hand, does anyone know, when you list the answers for the questions you submit, which one is supposed to be the right answer and which ones are the wrong answers?

Submitting questions on trivia crack has ben accessible and possible for a few years now. All you need do is the following.

1. Type your question.
2. Hit enter. The first thing is the right answer.
3. The second field after that is the first wrong answer
4. The next is wrong answer number two
5. The third is wrong answer 3.

After that it's quite simple.

Hello, I'd like to ask a question to all trivia crack users.
Before reporting it to Etermax, I'd like to verify with other players.
After updating to 2.16, which came out Yesterday:
do you find the bottom menu has disappeared? I mean, the menu showing chats, friends, menu, weekly chart, home?
I do not see it at all; I turn VoiceOver off to switch from a tab to another, as right now I know approximate position of elements.
I am not sure this is a bug, as I have iOS10 developer preview, and may be its fault.
Or because I have a tutorial or some bad stuff which is coming over the window and i don't see it. Don't know, so I wish to ask other users before giving feedbacks to tc devs

On my iPhone 6, running iOS 9.3.2, and yesterday's Trivia Crack build, I cannot access the bottom menu either.

Hello, thanks for having confirmed the issue, I am scheduling to report it to @etermax and @triviacrack support e-mail address, later in the morning.
I feel Trivia Crack's accessibility code is very vulnerable: when they fix an issue, it's very easy to introduce another; I know they have changed the people who work on accessibility, so it may be an error of an unexperienced coder, this is what I feel, this does not sound as a menu change, as the menu is the same; I can only suppose, for now, but it really sounds like some stupid mistake such as a quotation mark missing on the code!
I'll keep you updated, as usual.
Just for your information, I am not involved in trivia crack's development or pre-release testing any way; I am just a user who believes in this game very much and who wants it to improve accessibility better and better, and so I am Always getting in touch with them to give them step by step procedures to reproduce issues.

The proper way to write bugs down, is to report the summary of the problem on the subject, such as: Trivia Crack 2.16 serious bug: accessibility, VoiceOver: bottom menu no longer readable
And then, on the body, describing the issue, and maybe a Step-by-Step procedure to reproduce it.
Such as:
1. activate VoiceOver
2. open TriviaCrack app
3. swipe right, to navigate all game's controls, or:
3A: put the finger on the bottom of the screen, where the menu elements are: home, chats, friends, charts, menu ...
Expected result: VoiceOver should read menu elements as buttons
Actual results: VoiceOver does not read anything, it behaves as it finds a blank line

You are correct in that it seems that the developers take two steps forward, and then one step back. The good thing is that while it's slow, forward progress is maintained.

Hello, I just submitted the report to @etermax people.
Meanwhile, an update 2.16.1 was released, but unfortunately the issue persists; so, after having updated the app, I confirmed my report.
For now, the "look at the FAQ" automated response come, this is an autoresponder; usually they answer me soon, telling "thanks for reporting the issue", we'll take it into consideration,, or they even don't answer. But we all have proof they consider us. Slowly, but they do.
It is about 3 years I am playing this game, I have seen many progressions and regressions, but I feel like suggesting all of you to trust them, to be patient, not being discouraged because of issues, but rather keeping contacting them.
If my feelings are correct, that is, some new unexperienced coders coming in, giving them feedbacks, allow them to improve their experience in developing this game.
A game is not matter of life or Death, so, we can be patient and talk to them.
My job is to test hardwares and softwares from all over the world, so, I have Always had to face this kind of situations, devs making 2 steps forth and one back. Being constant with devs, and patient, is the best weapon we have to fight this trend.

updated tc 2.16.2 on 3rd July 2016 and menu problem persists.
As I sent report on 30th June 2016, and due to Apple app store approval process, I suppose they had already submitted 2.16.2 update in that day, so they had no time to fix.
Let's be patient and wait.

I have noticed that some questions of this game are not accessable, because we have to look at a picture in order to recognise a place or person. Of course, Voice Over can not see the pictures. I keep losing games for this reason. Does anyone know if there is an option for turning questions with pictures off?

I'd suggest you to use power ups, especially Skip question, when you get one of them.
Power ups cost coins, it's true, but you can use cards, to get coins; do you know what I'm talking about, saying cards?

Hello, I am currently very busy with my job and I have less time to stay on line in forums and social networks.
But I am still following Trivia Crack's status, and unfortunately I have to say the dock with chat, rankings, menu, home and friends, is still invisible to VoiceOver, 3 versions have been released but Always with the same issue; I trust them, so I'll warn them again to give them a reminder.
For the matter of picture questions, yes, using cards + power ups is the best way, I have the Whole collection and I'm happy with it, now I am collecting just gems, with cards, as I am expecting some surprises in August.
I'm not sure they are coming, I have heard anything about it, but I can imagine it, if they want to keep the game alive, they can't let cards machines only with some limited collections in some year's anniversaries.

I thought I would let everyone know that with the recent update from yesterday, the bottom tabs are once again visible by VoiceOver. It only took them a few updates but at least they fixed it.

Yes, I'll confirm it to all: the bottom dock of trivia crack, where cats, friends, ranking, menu, and home are located, is again detected by VoiceOver correctly.
Now I'm going to update the cards list with the latest cards machine coming from the olympic games.

just to inform you that Trivia Crack has added a new functionality which allows to Exchange duplicated cards, with gems.
Pressing the "get new cards" button, brings to the usual window, but at the bottom you find an extra button called "trade" ... or Exchange, don't know the exact translation in english.
You press it and another extra-window opens; it's not very clear to understand, but at the end of the window, near the home button, you find an extra-button called "trade", or "Exchange", again, and 5 duplicated cards will be taken away from your album, and you'll get a gem in return.
You don't know which duplicated cards sold, but what's sure, is that you can make 3 trades every 4 hours.
At the beginning of the window you have a couple of numbers, indicating 99+ when you have more than 100 duplicated cards.
You will trade 15 cards every 4 hours; what is sure, is that you will not lose single cards from the collection, you just Exchange the ones which are duplicated.
The annoying thing, is you for example get 3 duplicated cards from a distributor which costs 5 gems, spending 15 gems for nothing, and trading the duplicated cards in the kiosk, you will get just 3 gems in return.

Hi. Just wanted to let everyone know I have noticed improvement in accessability since the last Trivia Crack update. It is now easier to start quizzes, missions, etc. Also, if you enter the Question Factory and find that the send button is not showing up, just close the app and open it again. It is likely to appear the second time around. So you probably should check that before submitting your questions. Then, if it is working, submit away! IT works every time until you close the app again.
