Hi,
I recently erased the disk on my macbook air, and did a restarted, with a view to continue the process of a clean install of the ios. But, for some reason, vo won't turn on with command f5.
I have tried using command r when switching the mac on, but still no voiceover.
Where to next?

Any help appreciated.

thank you.

Irene

Hi,

If you completely erased your disk in your Mac, you can't start the computer from the recovery partition, so you need to use Internet Recovery. When you hear the sound after you turn on your Mac, press CMD+OPTION+R! This keystroke starts the Internet Recovery process which can take a long time, so you may need sighted assistance. After the system downloads all the necessary components, the normal installation procedure starts and you will be able to use VoiceOver.
HTH,
Zsolt

When I did internet recovery though, it got to a certain point and then on the screen it told me to go to apple support. My son wasn't able to move the mouse.
