Hello Applevis.
It's been a while.
I wanted to know your thoughts on OS X Sierra?
Personally, I find it slow. Maybe it's my wifi though.
What are your thoughts.
Have a good day

Apple Beta Releases
Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

So far...
So far, I'm loving it. VoiceOver seems to be a bit snappier.
WEll...
Seeing as how it managed to lock up during the installation and destroy my recovery partition as well as my El Cap partition I'd made, I'm not sure. I'll have to make a USB restore drive when I get home; I forgot to do that before hand. Oops. No idea what happened. I've never seen an Apple upgrade, even a beta, go that badly wrong. First time for everything. There isn't even an error log for me to check.
Going well here
Granted I've only been able to play around with it for the past hour, I'm finding it to be great so far! Some bugs I reported with El Capitan seem to be fixed. If there are any new features in VoiceOver, I haven't found them, but VoiceOver definitely feels more solid and a bit more snappy.
VO is slow on my end
VO is slow on my end. IOS is great here though.
Braille seems better
In my initial look at braille in Mac OS Sierra, braille seems to be much better especially when it comes to scrolling. In El Capitan, braille focus seemed to skip around quite a bit and I found myself being a bit frustrated using my Brilliant BI 40 with my Mac. However, reading emails and webpages definitely seems to be improved so from in the public preview.
I noticed a new sound
I noticed a new sound when going through the VO sounds. Not sure what it's for yet.
Good news about Braille
When I get my system back up this weekend, I look forward to seeing Braille improvements in action. Hopefully they can get MacOS Braille support as good as it is on iOS.
a couple vo commands don't work here
hi so far so good accept a couple vo commands don't work.
First bringing up vo utility and the command for going to the top of the window
A polite reminder of our posting guidelines
Hi All,
A polite reminder that we ask people to refrain from discussing bugs which you encounter in pre-release software; seeking technical support on installing or using pre-release software; or providing detailed descriptions of how new features are implemented.
Our complete posting guidelines concerning discussion of Apple pre-release software can be read here: http://www.applevis.com/help/posting-content-applevis-website/can-i-post-information-or-ask-questions-about-beta-or-preview
Guidelines
With all due respect, this is discussions about beta software. Comments will crop up. I haven't seen anyone ask for help installing or troubleshooting anything yet, nor have I seen any detailed discussion of bugs. Honestly, if casual technical conversation is going to trigger reminders, we may have been better off the way we were before.
In reply to Jake
Jake,
The last comment posted before our reminder was mention of 2 possible VoiceOver bugs. This was why we felt it both timely and appropriate to issue a reminder of our posting guidelines.
Mac OS itself seems slightly
Mac OS itself seems slightly slower, but voiceover works fine, and Alex doesn’t stutter anymore, yay. There is also new sounds for interacting and I interacting with groups.
Also, thank God, my VarioUltra works with the Mac through USB! I had the feeling Apple would fix that in Sierra. There is also a sound for collaboration occurrences. Yes, Mac OS is gearing up to be amazing! The wheel of fate is turning.
It's works fine
VoiceOver works grate. In macOS Siri looks cool. I am love it.
notifications menu
There is a new quick way to access notifications by pressing VO N for the notifications menu. This could eliminate the need to always go to the Notification Center to read notifications that you might have missed.
Holy hell
Holy hell, thanks for that. THat's very, very useful.
I think that Voice Over took a trip to Starbuck's.
Alex responds quicker than he ever has. He is faster than when my MAC was new. I still have to get more RAM. So far, I am very pleased with my choice to participate in the beta program.
Emojis
I sure hope they will fix a minor bug that makes Voice Over read emojis by character. I'm not beta testing the latest Mac OS
Table Rows
There is a new setting to determine how VoiceOver reads when new items are added to tables. I haven't tested this as I don't use Twitter anymore, but this should be a welcome change for those that hated the 1 row added message.
Works fine on my end
Works fine on my end. loving the new siri feature. also, facetime audio has been enhanced to sound more better, and voiceover is much faster.
Mac OS X Sierra
Hi everyone.
Thanks for your feedback. I do agree that the MAC OS itself is on the slow side. VO has also gone to Starbucks, as someone said.
Any good news regarding pdfs?
Hi, any improvements on pdfs with voiceover? Or filling the pdf forms?
I am asking this because someone from apple told me that they are trying to fix this problem in this version
Thanks
Safari
One of the places I'm seeing the most improvements is safari, mostly in terms of speed, but also handling places where there's auto complete edit boxes.
@Chris re: new items added to table
WHere is this setting located in VO Utilities?
@t dog re: VO-N 4 Notifications
How did you discovery this new VO shortcut?
keyboard help
I discovered it when trying to figure out a changed command for table interaction. I went into keyboard help and pressed a bunch of random combinations until I found the updated command. I happened to find this when pressing VO N. It may also be in the commands help menu.
For those wondering, when you now don't want to interact with a specific web table, the updated command is VO Command equals.
To another poster, you can find the table announcement setting under the announcements tab in the verbosity category of Voiceover Utility.

Beta Testing
I don’t want to sound like I am attacking anyone, so don’t take it that way please. I think a lot of this discussion will quickly get out of hand and already slightly has as far as Apples guidelines for discussing the beta. Some have already have mentioned bugs and features apple has not talked about and this is in violation of your agreement. I think Applevis staff needs to be a bit more clear on what they will allow because I see this getting out of hand quickly and it has already started. Again, I am not attacking anyone, I just want to lookout for Applevis and its users.
Re beta testing
Hello.
Regarding beta testing Applevis told us we can discuss new feature,s, however, we can not discuss bugs or steps to activate and use features.
In reply to thunderhorse82
thunderhorse82,
You may have missed it, but we have already posted to this thread a reminder of our posting guidelines.
In short, you are free to discuss any new features or changes that you find or learn about in beta or preview releases of Apple software. This is not limited to only the features and changes which Apple itself has openly discussed.
However, the following types of posts are not permitted on the AppleVis website:

Re: One Row Added
I am very excited for the public release of OS Sierra. Just from reading the comments to this thread, it sounds like a lot of work went into this release. I'm not surprised though, but perhaps that's just me. To the person who talked about the new setting for the "one-row added" messages, I get these all the time when using the Twitter app. This happens particularly when switching to the Twitter account for my volunteer job. That's partly why I took a brief hiatus from work. But I digress. This new VO setting will most certainly be a welcome addition.
