Hi guys.
So I'm not sure where on this site I posted it, but a while ago I bought an Apple silicone case for my iPhone 6 s +. At first I thought I liked the case, because it makes your device feel slim. But I discovered just how much I don't like how the case does not cover the speaker, headphone jack, and charging port of the device. As carefull as I am with my phone, I think everyone at some point says, I won't ever drop my phone. But of course, it gets dropped sooner or later. While I did not drop my phone while using this case, I realized that the phone would likely break if I did. So I switched back to my beautiful red case that protects the top and bottom part of my phone, as well as the sleep/wake and volume buttons, and I'm really happy. It feels so good knowing that my phone is fully protected again. What I'm trying to say, is that I think Apple's silicone case is more for making your phone look nice than it is for protecting it. Also, one more thing about the silicone case: It gets dirt and dust on it real easilly. The only things I like about the case are the texture and how easy it is to push the volume and sleep/wake buttuns.

IMO the Apple cases get a bad
IMO the Apple cases get a bad rap. True they're not going to protect your phone like an otterbox, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. When I bought my iPhone 5S, I got an Apple leather case with it and loved it. I loved how it gave the phone a little bit of grip without sacrificing the thinness. It finally wore out to the point that I couldn't use it anymore shortly after I got my SE, so I got a Tech 21 case after seeing one on a friend's Galaxy S5. I love the sturdy rubber it's made of and that it doesn't add a whole lot of bulk, but I dearly miss easily being able to push the volume and lock buttons.
I've dropped my phone...
I bought an Otterbox at the same time I got my iPhone 6, so I've never really used an iPhone without it. I have dropped it a few times and it would have probably been busted; sometimes I find myself dropping things for no reason. I've also gotten it wet, like when the garden hose exploded the other day and soaked me.
Holding down the lock button to get to the power off screen is the only button action that can be slightly difficult for me.
It's bulkier and screen protectors make it a little harder to do gestures, but I think a good case has been worth it in my situation.
