Hi,
As stated in the subject, VO is not announcing the correct number of games I'm currently playing. So on the main screen where you have your username, statistics, level, gold, etc, on games VoiceOver says "games, 10". I know for sure I'm playing 3 games not 10. I'm running the latest version of Diceworld with iOS9.1. Is anyone having this issue?
Thanks

I notice that when the auto switch games is on the game will crash when moving on to the next game. Maybe this should be looked at, or it could just be my phone.

Take care.

By Toonhead on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 - 12:51

The guys at Dice world HQ have suggested that to fix the issue when auto-advance is turned on, to turn the option off, and then back on. That should do it. I did that very thing and haven't had a single problem. The ability to turn things off on the dashboard is a welcome one for sure!

Is there a way to keep Dice World from trying to login to Game center when the app starts? That is very annoying to me. Thanks.

By Chrystal on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

I am a dice head from way back, and I totally agree with everything that has been written about this game's accessibility. It's awesome!!! :-)

By raaj on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Hello kind people.

Whether dice world chats working with y'all? For me, with my bluetooth keyboard, it's not working at all. I also tried with my iPhone6, I couldn't chat with my opponant.

Raaj.

I have an iPhone 6 using iOS 9.1 along with an Apple wireless keyboard. I am having the same problem you are having as far as not being able to chat. Also, when the app moves to the next game for me to work n, it sometimes will not move from where the focus lands. If I touch the iPhone screen, I can then use the keyboard to find my score, my opponent's score, the current round, the dice, and the roll button, or whatever I want to find. If anyone has a solution, I'd sure appreciat it.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Why would you want to use a bluetooth keyboard to play the game. Only to chat. Playing the game is faster with touch. And it causes you to gain muscle memory as well. They already could about the keyboard problem but since iOs has bt issues that might not be fixed until iOs 9.2

By Lisa on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

I am still having the same problem. I can't use my Bluetooth keyboard to type within the chat window of the game. I'm not trying to play the game with my Bluetooth keyboard, I would just like to be able to type my chat messages within the chat window using my Bluetooth keyboard. My Bluetooth keyboard works for me in text messages, notes, email, ETC. So this just seams to be a problem with the chat window in Dice World.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

They know about the issue. For now just practice with touch. This is how I've typed ever since I got the game and it's improved my typing vastly.

Take care.

By Toonhead on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

If you're still having the issue, write to the support guys and let them know. One thing that helped me was I rebooted my phone, and that seemed to fix the problem at least for the moment. I'm now able to both send and receive messages just like before. So, give that a shot if you haven't already.

Why I would like to do so is a moot point. The fact is that I cannot, and should be able to. But to answer your question, I find it quick and easy, when it works, to use the Bluetooth keyboard to get from one piece of info to another, such as when playing Balot or Yahtzee. I also find it much easier to type in the chat window, which I can also not do.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Actually the layout of yatsy is very easy. The info is very easily gotten to by exploring by touch and typing in the chat field is easier with touch and faster if you left yoru keyboard at home like I often do.

If you think of theeinterface as a table you can slide your finger down then that will be easier.

Take care.

for me it works marvelously on my ipod touch fifth generation:) If anyone wants to challenge me use joeweakland1027 for username and lets get dicen:)

By Lisa on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Hello,
Hopefully they will fix this issue with Bluetooth keyboards soon. If anyone would like to challenge me to a game of either threes, 1 4/24, or farkle. My username is Lisa621

By Toonhead on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

You guys gotta remember, not everyone's proficient with the touchscreen. Obviously, people want to use the Bluetooth keyboard, so please don't think people who do are somehow inferior. I prefer to use that, and it doesn't make me any less of a person or whatever. Sheesh, some people always gotta be right. But on this one there's no write or wrong answer.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

You can be good with the touch screen depending on both the app layout and the accessibility and the willingness for the user to practice. Ok, that's 3 not two things. It's too early in the morning for me to be writing this. But I firmly believe especially now with the force touch on iOS on the newer models anyone can be good at the touch screen weather it's with hands or a head stick or what not. If you think of an app in physical space it's actually pretty easy to learn about maybe 95 percent of the apps out there. Dice world actually enabled me to learn the touch screen faster and I can now get around most apps a bit quicker. It also made me learn how to type faster to. For those who have heard me and think it's humanly impossible, blame my good friend called practice. Lol!

Also keep in mind that in 2010 you could not navigate the screen with a bluetooth keyboard. This in fact has made us or those of us who want to learn the touch screen, as that's what ios is, a bit lazy. I hardly use the bt keyboard to navigate the screen unless I am in class in the middle of a note, but it's always important for me to learn the spacial layout in case I have to ever train anyone in iOs, and that's anyone sighted not blind.

I agree with the post you replied to. I am a proficient touch screen user, but just prefer todo some things with the BT keyboard. Plus, and I do deal with this quite often, when riding down a bumpy road in a vehicle, the touch screen can accidentally be triggered, so a keyboard is fa superior in some circumstances. I don't take one with me wherever I go, but can see the benefit. Most importantly, what works for one does not automatically work for all. The fact that I can play a guitar does not mean that you can. You may have finger dexterity problems, or your hand may be too small. For some, typing is easier and more convenient, and I have no problem with that, nor do I feel superior because I can use the iPhone without an external keyboard. What works for any user is what that user should use.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Lol For me I practice when doing down a bumpy road. And remember once again in 2010 you could not use the bt keyboard but for typing. So those of us who remember that had no choice but to practice. For me I've become proficient on typing on bumpy roads. Thanks pera transit for that. Hehahaa. I still think a user should practice touch screen navigation in case the keyboard dies or what not every en with finger or head device or what not. And dice world will and often does help with that.
Btw if anyone wants to challenge my name is ke7zum on there.

By Toonhead on Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 12:51

Thank you, Charles for being so fare when not everyone knows how to do it. What works for one person might not work for someone else. I can understand what Sarah is saying, but just because she's really good at it, doesn't mean everyone is going to be. I say, use whatever method you like, and have fun. That's why we're all at this in the first place. No one way is better than the other. If you can use the touch screen proficiently? Good for you, *hands you a gold star*.

The fact that we could not use a BT keyboard in 2010 has nothing to do with what we can do in 2015. We could not use home computers in 1975, either, but they were creeping into homes by 1980, and the technology is growing faster now than it moved then. The point remains that people who choose to use BT keyboards should be able to use them with apps.

By Ornella on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

I like the new update. but one question. What is the magic tap for the gold? I don't understand that.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

Basically magic tap and a video plays. You still have to dismiss it by hitting the middle button but it works well.

By Ornella on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

unless I am mistaken, isn't always like that? when you hear a video you tap on the middle button then you get a gold. that's the same thing? because when I tap on free gold it just goes like normal and when I click on close I get the gold. if this is something different then I didn't notice it yet.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

Basically if you don't want to flick you can magic tap for gold as I outlined earlier.

By Ornella on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

ok thanks. so I just have to tap anywhere on the screen and it would just come up? I will try it

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

No, do the magic tap, that is, double tap with 2 fingers.

hope that helps a bit.

By Ornella on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

thanks for clraring it up I will try it

By Dhanlon1 on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

I have an apple iPhone 6 and cannot receive notifications when it's my turn to play the game. The game doesn't come up at all under my phone settings and there is no notification toggle to turn on or off with in the app. What can I do?

By Ornella on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

try reinstalling the game. if it doesn't work write the developers

By Earle on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

I have this problem when the last update came out. I tried so many different things, but the thing that finally worked was to uninstall and reinstall the app.

By tunmi13 on Saturday, May 21, 2016 - 12:51

My dice world name is
Tunmi
. I play all games except Balut.
But beware, if you challenge me to Pig, you will be sorry.... LOL
I only play bonus games, but occasionally I decide to play a non bonus one.

What's New in Version 9.04

Making the game accessible is always priority #1 here at Dice World. And this release is no exception!

Accessibility Enhancements in this release:
- Farkle - New 'select all' button to make gameplay faster, and navigation easier.
- Yatzy - Navigation simplified dramatically! Now scoring buttons are easily found after each roll right next to the roll button.
- Balut - Yes, finally Balut is just as easy to play as Yatzy for voice over users! So if you have never played Balut, give it a try!

Other goodies included:
- Optional animations for playable hands in Farkle, Balut & Yatzy! This makes learning new games a piece of cake!
- Farkle animation/scoring fix.

Thank you for playing dice with us! Keep on dice'n!

By Ornella on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - 12:51

I think that this is the best update ever. I love the fast game play now they just need to add the select all dice for the 1 4 24 game.

By Lisa on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 - 12:51

Hello everyone,
Before I could see all my face book friends who played Dice World, and I could challenge them. Now this feature seams to be broken. I hope this will be fixed in a future update.
I really enjoy playing dice world, if any one would like to challenge me to a game of either Farkle or 1/4/24, my user name is Lisa621

By vulcansummer on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 12:51

I have just started playing this game and am enjoying it very much. I can see how hard the devs worked to make it accessible. Thanks to them!

I got to the level where I could use wooden dice, but was disappointed to find that they don't sound any different from the previous dice I was using. I was hoping the different dice had different sounds associated with them. I still love the game though.

By vulcansummer on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 12:51

I've only played against the computer so far, but sometimes it's confusing to know who has won the game. I wish the winning player could be announced.

By DPinWI on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 12:51

An easy way to know who won is to listen. If you win, you will hear a sound like a slot machine spewing coins. If you don't win, well, you won't.

By Lisa on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 12:51

Hello all,
I love playing dice world. If anyone would like to challenge me, my username is Lisa621 I only play Farkle, 1 4 24 and sometimes threes.

By sockhopsinger on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 12:51

to @DPinWi if your sound is muted, you will not hear the coin sounds. Also, if in doubt, if you touch in the middle of the screen after the game is over, it will tell you who won.

In dice world how do I enable notifications

By Autumn on Monday, May 21, 2018 - 12:51

By Karok on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 - 12:51

hi all, has anyone else noticed that the settings are grade out in the app store version of dice-world to customize the game, yet they are available foh the beta testers? thoughts? thanks. my wife has! app store version but we can't get to her settings. she is signed in with facebook

Hi Will, a fix for this was released yesterday to the store. Grab the latest version for the store and you should be all god. Thanks!

By Troy B on Thursday, February 21, 2019 - 12:51

I've been having a problem for a few weeks now where if I'm in a game, or even if I'm trying to choose a game I'm playing against a friend, the focus will jump to the back button unexpectedly. It happens most often in farkle but it also happens less often in the other games too, has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix? I reported it and an upgrade came out a day or 2 later, and I don't know if the developer had seen my note by the time of the upgrade or not but the problem is still there.

I do not have this issue anywhere in Dice World on my iPhone 8 plus using firmware version 12.1.4 or earlier versions. Thoughts: Have you tried using a Bluetooth keyboard? If so, does the problem still crop up? Is the problem sporadic or constant?
