Hello all,

I know using iTunes on a windows PC isn't great. However, over the last year it has got worse. I have windows 7 and JAWS 15. I simply cannot view any Apps from ITunes anymore. It tells me how many I have. Then tabbing takes me into home screens and zoom etc. Bu that is it. Oddly you can search for a specific app. Does anyone have a clue if it is possible to view apps? It is extremely annoying for syncing things. Help appreciated.

Hi Lee
when you say about view apps on iTunes
are you talking about to those apps on your iTunes library?
because one thing is viewing the apps without having plug the iOS device and different when have plug the device to sync or remove apps.
for iTunes for windows later version of 11.2 or newer there a short cut i Think is control + a number I think control 5 or so
another think why you are not able to see/ read the apps could be for your screen reader
I released a time ago a demo using difference screen reading and JAWS was the only one who couldn't read some parts of iTunes
Try using NVDA if may you have better experience with.

Hi Marco, Thanks may try NVDA. I'm referring to apps stored in the iTunes library that are on my iPhone as well. You used to have a table of apps that you could arrow down and tick/untick to sync to the phone. It gave you the app and size I think. Now I can't get iTunes to say the name of any apps stored anywhere. CTRL+8 is the keystroke but that equally doesn't work. Its all very odd. Maybe it is just my set up somehow.

I am using Windows 7 and JAWS 16 on my PC. I hope that what I write below isn't very confusing and that it helps you with the latest version of iTunes: Be sure to connect your iDevice to the PC using a USB port before you open iTunes. If you are searching for apps to try from within the app store, just tab to your name, hit enter, and you will be asked for your Apple ID password. After entering it and pressing the Enter key, you are in the edit field. Type what you're looking for and wait for the swishing sound. Press f6 to see the results. If you want to, pressing Insert and F7 to bring up the list of links. Each is an app. Hitting f6 again brings you back to the edit box to search for other apps.

If you're looking to see the apps that you have already gotten into your library, you can just make sure that the Apps button is selected by pressing control and f7 together. . Tab to choose between "My Apps, My iPad apps, my iPhone apps, and so on. Pressing the space bar on one of the choices will bring up the appropriate list that is seen by continuing to tab.

Hi Charles,

Thanks for this. I've managed to work out how to do this. Part of the issue turns out that I'd had to restore my PC and actually had no Apps stored in the media library folder lol...
