Using IBooks with VoiceOver when multi-tasking on the IPad 3

Hi there I am using IBooks on my IPad to read pdf files for study. I want to be able to stop reading a page, go into pages and make notes, then resume where I left off. I have tried double tapping with 2 fingers and pausing the reading, but whenever I move away from the page view, it takes me back to the beginning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paula

tap the text field or set a book mark. I'm not sure if it still works after leaving and reentering the app. Touching the text field will keep the place, right swiping into it will bring you to the top of the text field, left swiping into the text field will take you to the end of the text field. A bookmark should hold your place when leaving the app. My personal preference has always been to have two separate devices, one to read with and one to take notes on. i.e. an ,,iphone and a computer. It's the fastest way to work. But then I grew up with a braille book, tape player and a brailler. ,some habbits die hard. smile
Ah, what a good idea, I did not think of this. Thank you for the suggestion. I also grew up with braile and a tape player. J haven’t things changed.
