Accessibility Comments

The current conditions, day overviews and hourly forecasts are all fully accessible. The data is also read in a very clear and concise way by VoiceOver (not always the case with weather apps).

Some buttons could be a little clearer.

The 3-fingered swipe will move you between locations, but you will need to be sure that VoiceOver focus is on something in the main area of the screen for this to work.

As with all weather apps, you will have to accept that none of the graphical data is going to be accessible.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

The latest update has fixed accessibility problems that were introduced in the last release.

Most of the weather data appears to be accessible again.

What's New in Version 3.0.2

  • Bug fixes since 3.0 update including resolving the issue that made the app crash, speeding up data updates and ensuring the wind direction and speed now shows correctly
  • Options to deactivate “my location” and to turn off the icon that indicates when there are unread news items available
  • Voiceover support improved

Please note the classic radar and satellite features are still available to all users! They can now be found in the tab called Rad/Sat and you can switch between the features by tapping on the button in the top left corner.

When I search the ap store, I find a free version and a version costing $4.49.

I guess I just want to know which if either will give me the better experience compared with the Netatmo ap. In particular, I can't seem to get VO to read the pressure measurement in the Netatmo ap, even though I verified that it is visually available on the Netatmo ap. I don't mind that VO can't read the graphic stuff, but I was assured that the measurement is there in the Netatmo ap in readable text, so I don't think I'm asking too much here.
