Hi,
There is a bug where if I type in something, VO remains silent. My typing feedback is set to Characters and Words and it still doesn't work. Rebooting my device solves nothing. Is this a bug that you people are having as well? Hopefully Apple fixes it.

VoiceOver Not Speaking Characters and Words When Either Typing..
Hi Tommi
If your typing feedback is set to:
Characters and Words
from this menu only make sure is selected characters and words
and go back to the previous screen
voiceOver screen
and try
turning voiceOver off and then turn back On and I think will work for you.
More info, maybe...
Hi Tunmi,
If you are seeking assistance with this potential bug, perhaps you could add some additional information to your post? You will get better assistance if you let Forum Members know what device, which Operating Platform and in what circumstances or in which Apps You experience this problem.
For example, I sometimes have a similar problem on my MBP, running El Cap. To solve this problem, I simply stop and restart VO and life returns to normal. (VO can be stopped and started simply by pressing Command and F5)

More info
It's an iPad Mini running the latest version of iOS, 9.3.1. This doesn't happen in certain apps, it happens in every single place a text field is visible. And even as I'm typing now it is not saying anything.
Reset your iPad
Reset your iPad. Nothing will be lost. Launch settings> general>accessibility>voiceover. When you are on the voiceover screen, scroll down and double tap typing feedback. Make sure that the feedback is set to characters and words for both the software and hardware keyboards. Good luck!
Back again Tunmi
Okay you have iOS device and if I understood good only it happens using some apps not ever time,
Do you use Bluetooth devices or most of the time you have enable bluetooth?
Before to reset or make changes try another advice lastly reset some options.
I seen this issue for a while probably since iOS7 and one of the solutions are closing all the apps using app switcher.
Try these
Sequentially, try all of these ideas: http://www.applevis.com/podcast/episodes/beginners-guide-iphone-some-possible-fixes-if-your-device-becomes-slow-or.
Re: to Comments
Comment 1: My post describes that typing feedback is set to characters and words and rebooting my device does not solve anything.
Marco: No I said this happensin every single place a text field is visible.
TJT 2001: Ok I will check it out.
Reset Your Device
You have posted several "bugs" lately. Several people have suggested you do a full reset of your device. Have you done this?
It is the most logical next step on the journey to a solution. Good luck.
Yes
Yes I said that I rebooted my device and nothing was solved. I've done this millions of times and no matter what VO still doesn't say characters and words when pressing space or typing.
Reset, not reboot.
I am aware that re booting did not solve your problems, but you have yet to confirm that you have done the often suggested reset.
Either one of them doesn't
Either one of them doesn't work, resetting or rebooting. And I have listened to people that I should reset or reboot, it's just that it is not working.
Have you tried my steps
Have you tried the steps I listed for you in my previous reply? Here they are again just in case:
1. Unlock your iPad.
2. Launch settings.
3. Scroll down and double tap general.
4. When you are there, scroll down and double tap accessibility.
5. Double tap on VoiceOver.
6. When you are on the VoiceOver screen, scroll down and double tap typing feedback.
7. When you are on the typing feedback screen, select both characters and words for both software and hardware keyboards.
8. If you think this is an issue that can be resolved, please report the issue to Apple Accessibility.
Good luck!
I tried your steps
I tried your steps. Both characters and words are selected for hardware and software keyboards. But it still won't work.
