Greetings,
I'm having a bit of trouble accessing the status bar at the top of my iPhone's screen. I recently had to have the glass lens on the screen replaced, so I'm starting to think it's because of that. Either that or I'm just not touching high enough on the screen. THe only way I can currently access it is to turn the roter to VNav (vertical navigation) and swipe up until I reach it. Thoughts?

Are you touching almost where
Are you touching almost where the ear piece is? If not that's about where the status line is on the screen
Yep
Yep. that's where I'm tapping. and nothing. Very odd. Before I had the screen replaced, or at least the glass lens, it worked perfectly.
Something to try
You could try and force a restart of the phone by holding the home and sleep/wake buttons down until the Apple logo appears on the screen. After this, your phone will just reboot itself.
I've done this once
I've done this once. no go. But I can do it again if you think it'll help. It's not a show-stopper, just annoying as al hell.
Most likely the replacement screen
If you aren’t able to locate the Status Bar by simply sliding your finger up the screen until VoiceOver announces something from it, then it sounds like the problem is most likely the replacement screen. Was this fitted by Apple, or is it a third-party replacement?
It's third party
It's third party. Aside from that problem, there's nothing else wrong with the phone.
Don't know if this is related to your problem
I use an iPad and lately sometimes I can not get the area with the back/forward arrows or search field to come up when I'm using Safari. I often have to turn Voiceover off then when I swipe down or up with one finger it comes back. I understand that this band disappears intentionally, I assume to look sleek or free up screen space, but its annoyimg when I can't get it back easily.
I've done that
I've done that as well. No such luck.
