Hi,
I recently got a new ipad and restored from a backup from my iPhone. It restored fine, however it keeps prompting me for the password to an apple id that no longer exists. Does anyone know why this might be, or how to stop it from happening?
The only thing you can do is arase all content and settings. When that's done, set up your iPad as "new." When in the setup process, choose "create new Apple Id."
This can occur if you purchased some apps using an old apple id while you have your current apple id on your device. You can either simply type in the password for your old account or if the app supports it, do a family sharing from your old account to the new account.
If that still failes, you can do a factory restore using iTunes and set up the device as new. Then launch the app store on your device and go to the update/purchased tab. Go to purchased apps and download the apps you want on your device. This is better since you're only going to install the apps you use.
