iOS and iPadOS

Good afternoon everyone, after following some iphone and ipad lessons at Bartimeus, the rehabilitation center I am currently working with, I have some questions about certain aspects of the ipad that my teacher cannot find the answer for.

1. The rotor: There are some options in the rotor settings that you can turn on or off. We don't know what some of them do. Can anyone explain the following? Links in page. Containers. Static text. Zoom. And one that I can't translate out of my head. Zelfde onderdeel. It kind of translates to same section in English.

2. Typing methods. What is the difference between touch typing and direct touch typing?

3. The youtube app. When playing videos in the standard youtube app, the video controls don't go away. This leaves a pause button in the middle of my image. I can see enough to find it irritating. Other than turning voiceover off, i cant seem to make it leave. Is there a voiceover gesture that makes these controls disappear?

Thanks in advance for the help.
Greetings from the Netherlands.

Answer: Containers is an option used for finding menus that are inside of menus. For example, the Settings screen, tapping General brings up another menu. Using Containers, you can swipe down to jump directly into that menu, and that is General.
In-page Links are links that wouldn't really be called an actual link. Instead, these jump you to a certain part in a web page. For example, if I had a big giant manual on a web page, in-page links can be used to jump to a certain section of that manual on the page.
Zoom is a feature built in to your Apple device. It magnifies the entire screen, making it easier to see. It is larger too. The rotor option Zoom can be used by swiping up or down to turn it on or off.
Same Item reads the item that is similar to what you have selected with VoiceOver.
Static Text is something I don't really use, but it allows you to only find text, and text only. This leaves out everything out like buttons, form controls, lists, and more.

2. Typing methods. What is the difference between touch typing and direct touch typing?
Answer: Touch Typing allows you to slide your finger across the keyboard. VoiceOver will read the letters as you slide your finger. When you let go on a letter you want, it puts it in to the text field.
Direct Touch Typing is similar to Fleksy. If you tap your finger really close to a letter you think is right, it puts it in. It only picks the letter that is closest to where you tapped.

3. The youtube app. When playing videos in the standard youtube app, the video controls don't go away. This leaves a pause button in the middle of my image. I can see enough to find it irritating. Answer: Not really. I would recommend going into Fullscreen, downloading a video player for YouTube on the App Store, or seeing weather you like your device in Landscape (Home Button to The Left), Landscape (Home Button to The Right), Portrait (Home Button At The Bottom), or Portrait Flipped (Home Button At The Top).

Containers are like regions of a page that you might know about from Windows screen readers (not sure about the Mac). Or, alternatively, think about the page in sections.

Same item looks for elements that are of the same type, e.g. heading, button, link, text field, etc.

Static text looks for elements that are just text--no button, no link, no form field.

Direct touch typing is just how sighted users use their device where they just tap on a letter and it is entered. If you slide around the screen as in touch typing but you are in touch typing, you would be entering every letter that your finger lands on.
