The company is very responsive. I used their internal messaging system built into DayOne Classic and DayOne 2 and sent a note about the security risk due to the inability to easily enter a pass code and lock the program from prying eyes for VoiceOver users. Steven, who works there, told me that this would be in the next release in a couple of weeks. The company is also friendly about other ideas I have asked about.

The new interface is both much more accessible and much more usable. This is definitely one of my favorite apps.

I just got this app, and I have to say, after playing around with it for a few hours I really like it, and if anyone wants keep a diary of sorts this app is very good, especially that the interface is very simple and not full of unnecessary elements. I really think the developers did a great job with this one.

Does anyone know how to get back the entries that you had in previous version after updating to this new version? I have contacted Customer Support already. I haven't gotten a response yet.

Hi Deb,
I imported my entries from DayOne Classic by going into Settings. I pressed the Advanced button. Then I swipped to the right until VoiceOver said "Import from DayOne Classic." I doublt tapped on that item, and was able to get my entries.

Hi,
The makers of DayOne have now labeled the Pass Code numbers so that VoiceOver users can enter a pass code to lock DayOne from prying eyes. You have to double tap the buttons to make the numbers register. Other updates are coming fast.

Hi Jim, When I chose advanced, there is no import.

Where can I set the password so that no one except me can open the app and look at entries?
Thanks!

It has been a long time since someone posted about the accessibility of this app, so Iā€™m wondering if it is still accessible?

Some UI choices seem counterintuitive for me, but you can do everything within the app, nothing I've tried was inaccessible.
