Hi,
I don't know if I'm on iOS 9.2 Beta or the regular but I know that iOS 9.2.1 has been released so why am I not getting the update?
Thanks.

Hi Tunmi
if you are not sure if it's running beta iOS version or wherever you able able to update via iTunes using Mac or Windows PC
if works for jailbrake devices as well.

This is where the problem comes in.
iTunes isn't working great with my PC, so I have to go with Plan B. I want to erase my device completely and back it up via iCloud, but iCloud keeps failing to back up my device, and I don't want to loose all the information I really love. So can't do Plan B.
I could turn my iPad off and then on again, but the update won't appear, so that's out of my way too, now I don't know what to do.

The error goes like this:
1. The progress bar freezes at 2%. I leave my device alone and go do other activities.
2. When I come back my screen displays:
"The last backup couldn't be completed.."
The last iCloud backup that was successful was December 18, 2015.

Hi,
Is there any way to back up using iTunes for your iPad? I personally recommend doing an encrypted backup of your device using iTunes with the lightning cable, as you have a hard copy ( I mean on your hard disk) rather than being in the cloud. I personally back up to iTunes whenever I think of it.

Hi back again
I'm not sure if doing from the iOS device itself could reset /erase all content using some iOS beta on it.
I saw an article about this issue don't remember where. if I remember right only the person was able to update to the huge version as 9 or 8 something like that.
the most recommend way to fix it is using iTunes but also understand your concern about it, so good luck with the plan B

Yes I have iCloud Storage available, and backups are only 1 GB. I have 3.3 GB. The capacity is 5 GB.

I apologize if my previous comment was a bit snarky. I've been reading the comments and this is a tough one since the last backup was in December. I know this is probably a longshot, but I wonder if it's possible to delete a previous iCloud backup, and then try another backup again? It's entirely possible that one of them wasn't complete, so that could be keeping the current one from working completely. Purely a stab in the dark, I hope this works.

Hello there,

Remember that you should never do beta testing on a device if you are not prepared for the wirse. That is the whole point of beta testing. Some things can happen that may cause situation like this. Now that is out of the way.

I would try the following:
1. Try signing out of iCloud and back in. If this does not do the trick.
2. Try reseting the Networking from the Reset. If this doesn't work.
3. As mentioned above in earlier comments. Try deleteing the older backup in the iCloud. Once removed. Now do a backup.

Let us know if any of these does the trick. If so, please go backup your device on iTunes when you get a chance. I know you have issues but if you plan to beta test. You really should make sure you get that iTunes fixed so you can have a hard backup somewhere. iCloud can't always be there when you really need it in an emergency.

Hi Tunmi
You don't have only a problem with the iOS beta running on your device.
you have facing multiple problems
first fix the iCloud backup
and second how to update the device
the first issue with iCloud seems to be more complicated
and the second one it's very easy using iTunes to update to new iOS version to take out the beta from.

Thank you I will try all of these. I've already tried signing out and then in again like you said, but it didn't work, so I will do the next one, network settings. Then I'll try the third.

Try locking the screen while the backup is going on. Do you have automatic backup?
When u plug in your iPad, sometime during its charging process the iOS devices should back up automaticly.
Also, trying doing a hard reset by holding down the power and home buttons together at once until the iPad reboots.
Good luck! :)

Yes indeed I will try these things if I get a chance.
The only problem is I can't use iTunes at the moment because our family's computer is acting up and iTunes doesn't want to update to the latest version for some reason.

I will give you some advice how you can get the latest iTunes version on PC
If iTunes is asking you to update when open it, ignore this notification and close iTunes.
Go directly using the browser at
www.apple.com/downloadsitunes
Download iTunes and save it
Dumb click run from the Apple page because that process will be longer and could be unsuccessful
When the file has been completely downloaded
Click open, click install and click next Only wait to complete the installation process
