deleting folders on an IPhone 5s

Hi All,

I have enough games on my 5s now that I felt like it was a good idea to create a games folder so I found a couple of podcasts on another site that discussed how to drag one ap on top of another and how when I removed my finger the folder would be created. This ended up to be beyond my level of expertise though and all I did was end up messing up my home screen.

I could drag one ap on top of another and create a folder, but it usually ended up that at least one of the aps and sometimes both weren't what I wanted in the folder, and when I tried to move the ap out of the folder all I'd end up doing was creating another unwanted folder by putting the ap that I was trying to remove from the first folder on top of another ap which of course created another folder.

I think I'm just going to give up on this whole idea of putting aps into folders until I get more experienced, but is there an easy way to put things back the way they were when I started this whole experiment? In the process of doing what I was trying to do some of what I accomplished was moving things either to a different spot on the screen than they were originally, or in some cases some of the stuff is even on a different page than it used to be on. If possible I just want everything back the way it was, like I never did anything at all.

To reset your homescreen layout to factory defaults, go to settings>general>reset and select reset homescreen layout.

If you drag all apps to a new page on your phone, then you can create the folders. Once this is done then just drat the whole folder back to the screen where you want them. Personally, I folderize all my stuff because I like things to be organized. If you will be patient, it's a very nice way to organize yourself. It does take some practice. A new page helps to eliminate some of the frustrations of things landing in spots on the phone that you didn't want them to be in.
