Hi guys. I just purchased the pocket pond 2 app yesterday and I noticed in the app description it says you can feed, breed, raise, and play with your fish. You can also collect more. But I cannot find that option in the app, all I can do is make water sounds and splashes and make the fish bite me. I listened to the podcast and I didn't get any clues. If anyone knows how to access these features, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm also experiencing the same problem. I'm not sure that the app is totally accessible when it comes to breeding selling and raising fish etc. If anyone has info on this it would be greatly appreciated. Pocket pond and pocket pond 2 seem to both have the same issues.

This is another example of how direct touch is used correctly but does not make the app very accessible. There is a small button near the home button that brings up an inaccessible menu screen. Sorry, it's just not accessible.

Hi,
I remember doing a podcast on this app, but the only accessible thing is dragging your finger around and playing with your fish.

The app allows me to do all of the things the OP says can't be done. I'll admit it is a little tricky at first.

Let's start from the MENU page.

Press RETURN at the bottom to go to your pond.

Now you see your pond.

At the bottom, there is a small thing with three icons with text...,

From left to right they are: pond , select, and menu.

( on extreme right is down arrow to hide this when in your pond)

Ok.

Click the arrow that has the word SELECT under it.

It begins to blink.

When it's blinking you press a fish.

A page with that fish appears.

You can see the breed, health, happiness , etc.

At the bottom, you can see the "sell value" and next to it, the BREED option. ( as well as MOVE option and GIFT option)

Click BREED.

This shows you the possible combinations that you can get if you breed with selected fish.

Lower right, you can choose to breed if you'd like. It shows the cost when you click the breed option.

.......

As for collecting more, etc, hit MENU

There you'll see Pond Store, Koi store, buy Koins,

Awards, Koi Log, Win Koins,

Social, daily gift, and Catch new koi.

...ps. Daily gift you press once a day and get various perks...I.e, 1 free corn bait, 40 free EXP. POINTS, etc.

I'm really enjoying this game. In the koi store, the fish available for sale change daily.

I recently downloaded this app to give it another try, I am encountering the same issue as the first poster. This app is not accessible with voiceover. There are no label buttons, no way to get around, all you hear is just splashing.

Based upon how HanssenJ describes how to use this app, I think that we can safely assume that they are not a VoiceOver user and don’t know what it is and how it changes things for those of us who use it.

HanssenJ, if I am correct, you may find this page helpful in understanding why others on this thread are encountering problems with this app which you are not: http://www.apple.com/accessibility/ios/

Unfortunately I have the same problem. I assume Handsome whatever is not using voiceover because they seem to see the blinking. This is sad because I love these games, but for those who want a similar game I reccomend mobile aquarium. You cannot breed there though.

You are correct, i am not voiceover user.

My apologies. Dalia was kind enough to stress the point of voiceover. I am not voiceover user. I'm sorry for the confusion.

My apologies...I did not understand what voiceover was. I'm not a voiceover user. Dalia provided me a link which made me realize my mistake.

Are there other apps like this one, but that work with voice over?☺️
