The BBC iPlayer has finally made an appearance on the new Apple TV. This is in the UK only I’m afraid.
Had a brief play around with it and all seems to work fine with voiceover. It kind of mirros the iPad version, and has a dedicated section for Audio Described programmes. Would have been a real let down if it hadn’t. As far as I can tell, there isn’t a way to sign into your BBC ID, so couldn’t get my favorites. But I could be wrong.
So far, a great attempt by the BBC, but can certainly be improved by incorporating the iPlayer Radio. Now all we need is the other channels to develop their own TVOS app.

Fast Forward?
I was just wondering if it is possible to fast forward and rewind programmes on the BBC iplayer on the fourth gen apple tv as it's not possible to do so on ios. And I agree, it would be great if the other mainstream channels added their catch up services also. And sky go would be great too but as now tv is on their I'm guessing that's not going to happen which is frustrating as it's available on the xbox 1 and the PS4.
