Hi,
I'm currently experiencing a very annoying issue with my iPhone six running the latest version of iOS.
Whenever I press the sleep /wake button, to get my phone to the lock screen where I can unlock it, or read my notifications with VoiceOver, VoiceOver doesn't seem to work, and no speech is heard, however, as soon as I activate Siri on the lock screen, or when the phone is unlocked, and don't speak to Siri, but I"m still on the Siri screen, VoiceOver seems to work perfectly find. However, as soon as Siri is dismissed, VoiceOver sops working completely.
Can anyone help with this issue, because so far the only solution I had was to restore my phone, however, I can't do it because find my iPhone is turned on, and to turn it off on my phone I need VoiceOver, and turning it off using iCloud on my Mac is proving quite difficult due to the poor accessibility of the iCloud website.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Cheers

Hi,
I thought that at one point, however, consideringI could still hear the Sir sound and VoiceOver talking when the Siri window was open, the volume was turned up.

Hi,

Start by asking SIRI to turn Voice Over on.
Then try a three finger double tap. This is the gesture that toggles Voice Over Speech on and off.
Hope that this helps.

Just because you can hear Siri, does not mean your Voice Over volume is turned up to a an audible level. They are separate.

However, I am more inclined to think you either do not have Voice Over on, or you have Voice Over speech muted. Try the previous poster's advice and let us know.

Hi,
Right, thanks to your advice I managed to fix the issue, although, how it came in the first place is still quite strange.
It turns out, the the volume was indeed durned down completely. However, when I put my phone on charge last night, the volume was turned up because I was playing a game on my phone before I went to sleep, so somehow, the volume became turned off completely by the morning, and the phone was not used during the night.
As strange as this is, I'm glad it's fixed, although I'd be interested in finding out how this issue can arise because this is the second time I experienced this, although last time the problem was much worse.
Cheers for your help,
Hubert
