Issues with Latest YouTube Update on iPhone

The newest version of YouTube which I am accessing on my iPhone 6 running iOS 9.2 works pretty well. I found one issue. Sometimes you cannot flick between different on-screen elements. You have to slide your finger around to find what you're looking for. Sometimes I like to orient myself by doing a four finger tap to put the voiceover cursor in the upper left corner of the screen, and then flick right to find a nearby option. Sometimes this works in YouTube and sometimes it doesn't. Also, the comments section of the app really needs some attention for voiceover users. I have found no way to copy text from comments. I cannot seem to edit any comment that I make, only merely delete it and re-type it . If there is a web link in a video description or in someone's comment, I cannot find any way to access that link. Finally, where there are many replies to a single comment, I find that I am missing many of the comments before the most recent one. Is there not any way to expand the thread so that I can see all the comments on that post? I hope this post makes sense. I am using voice dictation right now

Hi Joe,
Can you please share steps to reproduce and more details for these issues you are experiencing?
Thanks!

Found that when you try to share a video it does not give you an option to share it on What's app. it only allows you to copy the link. This is really frustrating because I have to type the description of the video in my message before I share the link. No one likes to click on a link with no descriptive text to as to what it is

The one problem I'm experiencing with Youtube currently is an inability to use the voice search function properly. When activating it, the phone reverts to the internal speaker as if you were on a call and it is difficult to get your text dictated. I can share videos as you'd expect the last time I tried which was earlier today.

I am also finding a few problems with the latest iOS version of YouTube on my iPhone 6. The like and dislike buttons have disappeared, my sighted friend can see the buttons but they are omitted or skipped when cycling through the YouTube video page with voice over on. This sucks, why do they update apps and end up making things worse for accessibility dependant users.

Perhaps they don't mean for these things to happen. Nobody's perfect. :)

For whatever reason, the issue about not being able to flick around the YouTube UI popped up a couple times but hasn't recurred since. Hey, I'm not gonna argue. :)

For the commenter above having trouble with the like and dislike buttons, I ran into that too but found a solution. 3-finger swipe down until VoiceOver reports that you're at page one of the video page. Then 4-finger single tap near the upper left of your screen. VoiceOver should announce "video player." Single finger flick right until you find the buttons, or just drag your finger around the area under the video and it will be there. For some reason the app needs to be scrolled all the way to the top for all the controls to appear. Hope this helps
