I just installed an SSD in my MacBook Pro mid 2012 15 inch laptop. Now I have the old drive, and am looking to put it into a USB enclosure. Does anyone have recommendations on what to get?
I just did the same thing over the holiday break. I purchased my SSD from OWC Macsales and they threw in an enclosure made for a 2.5 drive. The enclosure is really small and does not require an external power source.
BTW, what OSX are you running? Are you concerned about trim? I got the OWC because their hardware eliminated the trim requirement but if you’re using El Capitan, this point would be moot.
