Accessibility Comments

This app seems very accessible. it's easy to find the version and language you want and also very easy to find the play/pause button, the next and previous buttons and the buttons for the videos. this is the only button that's labbled funny. it's labelled media play normal. or some such. If i find any strangeness i will edit this post. So far, so good however.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

A very simple bible app that is good for vips and sighted people alike.

anyone know how to access the text of a bible instead of audio?

To answer your question. Yes you could. It was certainly designed to have the audio on as it reads the text that displayed on that area you are in. Just stop the audio by hitteng the pause button or two fingers double tap to pause the audio. On this page will be the chapter of a book you are in to read. So for example. Say I am in the book of Genesis Chapter 1. You should be able to read all of that chapter by swiping right to each verse in that chapter. You can now select the Next button to go on to Genesis Chapter 2 and so forth. If you want to go to a particular place in the bible. Go to the top of the screen to find a button in this case would be labeled Genesis 1. Double tap on this and this will bring up a list of all the books in the bible. Double tap on a book. Now it will display all the chapter in that book. Now you can read that book and it chapter. Verse are seperated by each swipe you make to the right. Hope this is of help to you and that it make sense. This is absolutely a fantastic Bible app. I used to have the Holy Bible app but in recent updates it is now inaccessible. I'm glad to find this new app. I highly recommend it.

greetings,
the only annoying thing i found using the program is after closing the program, the audio i was playing remains inthe memory. when i perform a two finger double tap, the bible passage begins reading again. i would like to know why is this happening and if it is the result of me doing something incorrectly. otherwise, the program is a very good one. many thanks.

hi all, i have just installed this application from the app store, and am sorely disappointed. when i select the version of the bible i want in my case, the niv dramatised voiceover states old and new tastament but yet only the new books are showing from matthew the first book ofthe new tastament, through to revelation, the last.why is the old testament not showing, and what are all the unlabelled buttons?

I was browsing the NLS website for something earlier today, and came to a link for Faith Comes by Hearing. First off, their website is mostly accessible with VoiceOver on my Mac but when I attempted to sign up for their newsletter I got one of those CAPTCHA checkboxes that didn't seem to work. However, when I checked my email just a minute or so ago I found a welcome message from FCBH. So I guess I was verified but the form is a bit wonky. As for the audio, I couldn't get it to play anything. Once I get a new phone I'm definitely checking out this app though. It looks like a wonderful organization.
