blindfold juggle

Description of App

Blindfold Juggle is a fully accessible juggling game for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.

The objective of Blindfold Juggle is to keep tossing animals - dogs, sheep, cows, goats, donkeys, roosters, wolves, canaries, elephants and owls into the air, without letting any of them fall to earth, or any other planet. The more animals you keep juggling, the higher you score.

There are two ways to juggle. In bounce mode, you simply keep your phone under the animal as it falls, and it will bounce back up. In juggle mode, you must snap your wrist, as if you are tossing the animal into the air. The more powerful your toss, the higher the animal goes.

You can juggle on different planets or moons, such as Earth or Mercury or Jupiter.

Blindfold Juggle was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Vee Ball and Blindfold Air Hockey.

This game seems to have a few bugs. In the Bounce game, you cannot hear the animals going away from you. It is also quite difficult to make a new animal appear far from the original animal in both the Bounce and Juggle games. Also, the music seems to be moving around.

In the bounce beginner level, you should always hear the animal. In the other games, if the animal bounces far away from you, you won't hear it as it gets further away, but when it drops back to earth, you'll hear it again.

As to where the animal appears - it is tossed from where you have the phone. If its on the left, it launches on the left. If its on the right, it launches from there. The background music shouldn't be moving. This game wasn't tested as much as most games - only 2 testers played with it a lot, so email me at marty@kidfriendlysoftware.com if you have problems.

Hi! I've never tried juggling before, but with Blindfold Juggle I can do that without damaging anything, so I'm about to download this game. Definitely looking forward to playing it later!

As a follow-up to my previous comment, I tried out Blindfold Juggle yesterday, playing the Beginner game in Bounce mode. I understand the principle of the game, in Bounce mode anyway, but I'm not very good at it. I'm fine as long as I only toss one animal, but when I add a second one both fall down to earth pretty quickly, which means I probably don't bounce either of them again in time. I must ask, should we calibrate our arm movements at the beginning of every game? A few times I started a game and the sound of the first animal didn't move at all even when I moved my iPhone: I don't know whether this is a bug or whether I should calibrate every single time before I tap the screen to toss an animal into the air. In spite of such problems as a beginner, I still enjoy the game, and hopefully I'll get better at it in the future.

Firstly, there's a bug in juggle that the second round of any game doesn't move the paddle; you need to go back to the main menu. I also added a finger mode in the bounce games. I will resubmit the app with that, and some other bugs, fixed. The app store is closed for new admissions for another week, so it might be 2 weeks before the new version is available.

Since its another week before I resubmit the app, if anyone has suggestions for improving juggle, please email me, or post them here.

I have a suggestion. I would like to be able to play with extra lives.
A really cool game.
