Yup, I should know this but don't. So, can someone give me an explaination of direct touch? I see it's on Appple TV and now also see it in the rotor on the iPhone. Thanks.
Allows someone with enough useable vision to type as if Voiceover were off but still gives Voiceover feedback for what you type. For me it wwas nice on my iPad because of the larger keyboard. The mini keyboard is too small to see so there were too many mistakes and backspacing. If you can mostly see the letters on the keyboard its convenient to type normally with Voiceover feedback assuring that you have typed what you intended to. Unfortunately after enjoying the feature for a week on an iPad 2 running beta 9.2 it stopped working. I am currently unable to get it to work on my iPad 2, iPad Air, or iPad Mini with retina. If anyone can say if they are using it sucessfully it would be great to hear about it.
I saw other posts about using direct touch and in particular that it works better with only character feedback. That change, from characters and words to characters, has made it work well.
