Hi: I am wondering how you delete podcast episodes from Downcast? I listened to the podcast about Downcast but they didn't cover deleting once you were done listening to the episode. Thanks for your help. Nancy
There are various ways to delete episodes.
When viewing a list of episodes, you can double-tap on the Action button that's on the bottom menu bar. This brings up a menu that includes the option to delete all episodes.
If you want to delete just a single episode, you can use the swipe to delete gesture - double-tap and hold on the episode, and then slide your finger to the right whilst keeping it pressed to the screen. When you lift your finger, VoiceOver should prompt you to confirm that you want to delete the item. You then simply double-tap.
This gesture can be a little tricky to action, so fortunately there is one very easy alternative in Downcast, and that is to simply double-tap and hold on the episode. A menu will now appear that includes the option to delete just that one episode.
Hi David: Thanks for the info. I tried your last suggestion and I was able to delete several episodes. Again thanks for your help and I really appreciate having a place where I can ask questions and recieve helpful answers and ideas. Nancy
If you've a podcast with a lot of episodes, but you only want to delete some of them, you can activate edit, select the eps you want to delete, and then use the action button to delete only those you've selected. I've learned of new approaches via David's comments; it's great to have so many options.
