Hi. I'm pretty new to the forum. But not new to gaming. I've basically enjoyed different audio interactive novels. I've played one called Minesite and another which is called 1812 heart of winter. What I'm wondering is is there more interactive audio novels or games out there that rely on sound and choices?

Never knew this type of game existed!
Hi there! I'm a huge fan of the Choice of Games interactive fiction titles, but never knew there were audio games that had the same general concept. So, I guess I'd say that I, too, would be interested in this topic. Are the ones you mentioned in your original post IPhone apps, and if so, did they work well with VoiceOver? In the mean time, even though they're not audio, I would highly recommend any of the titles from Choice of games to fulfill your interactive fiction fix. Most of them are really great stories and have a lot of replay value.
Accessible without the use of voiceover.
Hello. Minesite and 1812 heart of winter are both accessible without the use of voiceover. All you have to do is launch the apps and turn off voiceover. The narrator will guide you through what to do. They are both free with the exception that 1812 hearts of Winter is a demo. The demo is in English but the full game is in Polish. So the demo is actually worth playing they were supposed to release a update which will contain the soul of Russia. The first chapter though is available. I'm actually waiting for the second chapter to come out. So that I can enjoy the story mode of the soul of Russia. There was also another game called jumper would you control a police officer through the use of voice recognition. As it is I'm not sure if that game still available or what the new name is called. All I know is Cygnus hasn't released an update yet for mission to. I bought all of mission one though. And mission one is enjoyable, but I can't wait until mission two comes out.
A friend of mine had
Some suggestions
Any of the stories found within the multi path audio book app fit in to this purpose. Some others:
• Mayday, though sighted assistance will be needed as it uses a map.
• Wonderland - A Solvitur Ambulando Mystery, the winner of indiecade 2015. Not had a chance to try that one yet.
Wonderland is especially unique in that it utilises a hangman puzzle mechanic in which you have to guess a word. It has the distinction of giving the player a hint every 100 steps if you walk while the app is running. It's certainly different. Mayday has speech recognition and such so might be a problem.
Personally I found Signus buggy and a couple of the audio files didn't trigger properly so I gave up with it even though I purchased the entire mission 1.
IF you do have chance to have sighted assistance, Calvino Noir, a film noire old time piece might be worth a try.
Just some suggestions to be going on with from someone who's been in the field of narrativity for 20 years.
I will look into those.
Thanks for the new suggestions. I will look into those. Just as well. I have to send an email to iTunes for a refund with Silversword. I found it in accessible as for now. There is no objective screen that will show me where to go next.
Makers of soul trapper
I was told the makers of soul trapper are coming out with a new game too. Blood vine don't know when it comes out yet, also a sharp is supposed to release a new game called six ages
Soul Trapper Developers RTAudioAdventures
Hi everyone,
To the poster who said that they heard about Blood Vine, it is not coming. I know this because that website has not been updated since 2008, email address support@rtaudioadventures.com or realtimeaudioadventures.com no longer works--and it did before back in 08.
I think Soul Trapper is the only game we'll se from these guys.
I can't find it
I can't find Wonderland in the US app store. Is the app free and how accessible is it?
Soul trapper
I'm actually still debating on playing this game with the iPad screen or my iPhone screen. I think the iPad screen might be a little bit bigger. And when it comes to the fight with Alastair, when I turn off voiceover the button should be easy to find. I'm not sure.
headcote
Just someone put a podcast for an an interactive audio game
Jumper
I can't find this game on the App Store, but if someone else does please post a link because it sounds really cool
I've never heard of jumper.
I've never heard of jumper. Also, time crest is definitely a great novel to go through… Probably one of the best.
Codename Cygnus
I like playing the game called Codename Cygnus! I'm patiently waiting for the first episode of Mission 2 to come out. You can try playing this game. Have a great day!
Hi,
Hi,
I am not sure about if/weather/when they'll release an update/new episodes. It's been, what? Over 2 years, and no new content has been updated. Unfortunately, I think the game, might be finished in terms of dev new episodes. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I want desperately to be able to play the new episodes. We'll have to see. I need to get the game time crest. It sounds fun! I love audio emersion games that have elements of difficulty.
