Wakie Chat: Talk to Strangers

Description of App

* Your morning alarm clock — reinvented!
* 1.5 million users around the world
* 30 million wake-up calls made

Wakie is a fun, friendly community of people who wake each other up in the morning. It’s a brand new way to wake up, made especially for those of us who hate the jarring noise of an alarm clock. When you use Wakie, you get to start your day with a smile instead of a frown!

--- HOW DOES IT WORK? ---

It’s easy, fast, and totally free. Set an alarm for 7:00am and you’ll get a phone call from another trusted Wakie member at 7:00am. The calls last just 60 seconds—you’ll hear a warning at 50 seconds, and the call is automatically disconnected at 1 minute. No awkward goodbyes, no long conversations—calls are quick and casual. You can also choose to wake someone up yourself, too!
All members are checked after registration and their activity constantly monitored for everyones safety.

* It’s fun!
* It’s totally free!
* It’s totally safe — no anonymous jokers and pranksters. Our moderation team is very quick.

Accessibility Comments

The buttons along the bottom of the screen are unlabled and are actually tabs. Relabling them might work. I haven't tried yet though.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Few buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

I was able to post comments to the form on wakie.com and was able to post a new form topic. I was able to make a phonecall to a person or two.

I've tried this app on my iPhone 6 running the latest iOS, and if I make or get a call, it just crashes to the home screen. Im not sure if this crashing is VO-related, but it appears to be nonfunctional because of that, at least for me.
