Voiceover doesn't read alerts from lock screen anymore

Is anyone having trouble with voiceover not reading messages when the iphone is in locked status? I get an alert that I have a message, but the message is no longer read. The messappears in the middle of the screen but I have to tap on the alert before voice over will read the message to me. If no one else is having this problem, what can I do to resolve this?

Do you have VO set to read notifications in the lock screen? That might be your problem. Aaron

Hi may possible that you have turn off the option Speak Notifications in Lock screen. to see if it is on go to: settings/ General/ voiceOver/ Speak Notifications in lock screen, it's off press double tap on it to on.. goodluck.
