Is it possible to make my iPhone stop asking me to double tap every time I want to select an app?
Thanks,

Yes it is. go into your voiceover settings and turn the "speak hints" option to off.

I spent an hour trying to figure that out! I can't believe the solution was so simple! Apple really needs to come out with a voiceover instruction book or webpage.

I'm pretty sure there are some Ebooks out for VO users, though for the life of me, I can't think of any titles. A search of this site might yield some promising results, as well.

Also, the hints option is in the VO rotor if you've turned that feature on. I think it is of by default. Hints have been in VO for as long as I can remember on iOs.

I'm planning to do a YouTube video about VoiceOver. I will post it to this forum when I am done and have uploaded the video successfully.
