Getting rid of split screen on the IPad's settings screen?

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get rid of the split screen that is present on the settings screen on the IPads? This split screen is not on the IPhone, so it really put me through a loop when I went to the IPad. It is so incredibly frustrating!
When ever I wish to swipe, sometimes I'm in the top level of settings and sometimes I'm in general. When I tap once with 4 fingers on the top of the screen it takes me to the top level of settings when I wish to be at the top of the current screen (like general).
I have googled "How to remove split screen in settings on the IPad", but didn't find anything.
Thank you,

Hi. don't think you can removeit, but it's not as hard as it first sounds. Just picture you reading a line of braille. Your hands start, then one drops down to wait, while the other hand finishes the sentences. So picture the settings on the left as one list, then general on the other side. Just follow slowly across the screen, you should be fine. Just so you kow if you get a new iPad multitasking is also now pslit screen.
