Hey, I hate to be a pain, however, I have a, what I hope to be, a quick question.
I will apologize in advance if I am posting in the wrong forum.
I know that there’s a way to export a file from an OSX app to a Windows file, For example, one can export a document from Pages or Text Editor to a doc or docx file. I need to know, is there any app(s) I will need in order to do an export?
I am asking because, as I have mentioned before, I am trying to get as far away from Windows as I can, because I am getting tired of the aggravation that comes with Windows.
Any information will be helpful.
Thank you in advance.

usually nothing
It all depends on the file type, but for the most part mac apps can open most things opened by Windows. Pages and textedit can open .doc and .docx, numbers can open .xls, and keynote can open .ppt. Audio and picture formats are pretty standard on either platforms, and as for video the standard windows video type, Avi, isn't normally open by built-in mac apps but VLC has no problem with it.
