Hi all. Iphoto has been on my update list but every time i try, it says "this is temporarily unavailable, try again later." The only option is ok. Has anyone seen this?

Yes I have seen this. I haven't tried this myself, but a possible solution, could be to move iPhoto to the trash, and install it again from the app store. Only a suggestion.

I'm wondering how important an app IPhoto actually is; can honestly say that I've never even used it before. Am definitely curious if deleting it and trying to redownload from the app store would fix the issue, or if it's even an app I *need* to keep at all.

Its probably not very important as it is no longer being developed. The new photos app looks very promising.

So can I just delete it from the Mac? I never use it anyway, given that I can't see any photos. Lol.

No you can't delete the photos app because it's a part of OS 10.

While you can't delete Photos, you should be able to delete iPhoto.
