Version 1.1.1
Version 1.2.0
Still appears to be very accessible. From being a Google app I'm just baffled in how some of their apps are so good in being so accessible and others are just terribly awful. Regardless, I commend them in still making this one accessible.

β Create, edit and collaborate on spreadsheets
β Upload to Drive from other apps using βOpen in...β
β Manage upload progress and see recent uploads in new Uploads section

Version 2.0.0
I have to hand it to Google. Sometime they are way off the marks of some of their apps being inaccessible. However, that is not the case in this release. This release is very accessible. So accessible. I could only find one thing of an issue and that is to upload pictures. They are all labeled the same thing. I am able to select the variety of pictures but have no idea what those pictures are regardless if I had named them in my photos app. Other than this minor glitch. It works very well.
What's New in Version 2.0.0
*Brand new design
*Thumbnail previews for files & photos
*Toggle between a new grid view and list view for easy file browsing
*βGet Linkβ gives you the link to a file
Are google docs inaccessible?
Agreed. I love google drive
Agreed. I love google drive but one thing I cannot do as of yet is batch delete some files. I have to remove 1 by 1. Not easy when you have 20 to remove. Bleh!
google barely meets the ADA definition of accessibility and I guess that's all they are going to do even with all of us . wiritn gletters and professionally complaining.
Version 3.1.0
As others have mentioned above. I am glad that Google has made the iOS accessible. However, I can't really say the same for the Google site to be able to retrieve and do things as you would want. So using this along with the site. Well, it will be a challenge. If you need someting to just store files. It is an option.
What's New in Version 3.1.0
β’ Incoming view: see files that have been shared with you as they arrive
β’ Activity stream: view changes to files and folders made by you and others from the details panel
β’ Set files or folders so anyone with a link can view, comment, or edit
β’ Faster uploading of pictures and videos
β’ Bug fixes and performance improvements
help with syncing files with google drive
Does anyone use word documents with google drive? I've gone into settings on the web to upload as google docs. I can share the files with others with the app and the computer plug in. However, I'm not sure that when others edit the files as I have given them permission to do that I am getting the shared file back. I do not know how to retrieve it. The app is more friendly than the site, but even it does not indicate if someone has edited the file. Any help with google drive in general is greatly appreciated.

A few issues I've solved
I've had a couple of issues with Google drive, abbreviated in my post as GD.
First, it can't play MP3 files. Select an MP3 in Dropbox and it just starts playing. On the other hand, should you Select an MP3 in GD, the app says it's an "unsupported file type" and gives you an "open in" choice. Doesn't seem to know how to use the default music player built in to every iDEVICE!
In case this was a VO issue I did "google" around for answers, and found many people using third-party cloud player apps to play music stored on Google Drive.
This seems ridiculous to me. GD should be able to play music without any user intervention because iOS can play music.
The other issue I had was installing GD on Windows. This isn't a Windows forum, but very briefly: when you choose to download and install the desktop app, Google gives you a file to download called GoogleDriveSync.exe. But it also has active content which loads in your browser and you get a message asking for your permission to run GoogleUpdate from tools,google.com.
The screen readers don't always see this message, which pops up and if ignored, disappears. Then of course without your permission the GoogleUpdate does not run, so GoogleDriveSync.exe will still install, but nothing will happen. No GD folder will be created on your PC. Tried this with both FireFox and IE. NVDA reads the message, JAWS never does. With all three screen readers I tried it was difficult to get the focus to the important message to tell IE to run the active content and Firefox to "stop blocking" the running of GoogleUpdate.
I've read in mainstream forums, Mac users have the same problem if for some reason they failed to run GoogleUpdate from Safari. Apparently sighted Mac users don't always see this message either.
Anyway, once you manage to get it installed on Macs, PCS and/or Android devices, it's all quite seamless. Change anything in your drive on one device or platform, and the result is propagated everywhere!
Plus, you get 15GB free which is extremely convenient.
I use file brower to manage
I use file brower to manage all of my GDrive documents. To me that works out better as I can bulk empty the trash in sakd cloud service.
Take care.
