KNFB reader crashes with my I Phone 6S

I got the new I Phone 6s on Friday and set it up as a new user to make sure it was a clean starting point. One of the first apps I put on the phone was KNFB reader. When I take a picture of a document, the app freezes up and the back button does not work. The only way I can get out of it is to close it in the app switcher. Than the next time I try to take a picture it resprings to the home screen. I have no problem running it with I O S 9 with my 5S, so I think it is device specific. Is anyone else having this problem with the 6S or 6S plus?

same results with 6S, when taking a picture the app closes. Totally useless now on my iPhone 6S

Yes it also crashes for me on 6s. It worked fine on 5s. I asked support and their response was they have some reports of issues with iOS 9. I actually think its hte new 6s as iOS 9 worked fine on 5s with KNFBReader. I suggest emailing a report to support@KNFBReader.com so they can have more informaiton for investigation.

Mine too. Asked a friend the day the 6S was shipped to both of us, same with him as well. Hopefully the developers will get a 6S so they can see it's more than just a "few reports with iOS 9". Hundred dollar app we can't use. Very frustrating.

I usually don't like inundating developers but I did email this one to make sure they know it's not an iOS thing.

Hello,

I have IOS 9.0.1 on an iPhone 6 and it works fine.

It could be specific to the iPhone 6S.

HTh and good luck.

Running knfb reader on iOS 9.01 on iPhone 6, all works well here :)
Hope the issue gets resolved.

Thank you Ro for contacting the KNFB developers. A friend who just upgraded to the iPhone 6s discovered the issue yesterday. I am surprised and find it odd that the problem is apparently device-specific. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. Please keep us posted on what you find out.

Regards,
Wayne

I'm glad I have my iPod 6, or I'd be without this app. You'd think for $100, they could at least make major efforts to fix this. It can happen with apps like this though, as the camera in the 6S is a major upgrade from the 6. SO it's not really odd, just highly annoying. The bug also seems to exist on the 6S+.

One of the major reasons I upgraded was because of the better camera and KNFB. Now it's completely useless, so I guess joke's on me. For $100 I hope the dev fix it soon.

Thank you all for initiating this thread. I got my new iPhone 6S Plus and had not yet tested the KNFB Reader. Since reading these notes, I have tested the KNFB Reader and it does not work on my 6S Plus. I have reported it to the developers.

Not device specific, I have a 6 and it's been happening here too though it used to work fine.
