Dictionary Application for OS X

Greetings all.
Would anyone recommend a dictionary application for Mac that is comfortably accessible with VO? I purchased WordWeb and it is fine still hyperlinks are everywhere which makes the whole experience horrible. Also I purchased Oxford Dictionary of English and the same thing was there although a post was about it early this year and there has been nothing said about any complications of using it. I also purchased Chambers and it is also very boring to navigate. I am looking at Oxford Advanced Dictionary 8th addition but that ones is really bad for my budget at this time unless I am sure that things won't be the same with other purchased dictionaries.
I also purchased American Heritage Dictionary for IOS and it does work so great with VO as you can modify the way the entries are viewed.
I really need this for my job and study.
Thanks all.

Have you tried the built-in dictionary? Nearly anywhere you can type or read text, put your cursor on a word, press cmd-ctrl-d, and you get a dictionary entry. Interact with the table, then the empty scroll area (it's not empty), and there's your information. Below that row is a row for thesaurus entries for the word, too. Sometimes you may have to select the word in question first, but that's not usually the case.

The built-in dictionary does not offer advanced features. For example, a detailed etymology, transcription, synonyms, antonyms, usage notes etc. This is available on other dictionaries on Windows such as Babylon for example. So please if anybody is familiar with alternatives to the built-in dictionary just post a comment here.
