Sharing contacts between iPod and iPhone

Hi
For some reason my iPhone seems to have lost all my contacts. G i've tried backing up from the iCloud but that doesn't seem to work. However, all my contacts are still on my iPod. Can anybody give me instructions for how to share my iPod contacts with my iPhone? Thank you.

If your phone and ipod share the same Apple account, I think all you have to do is to be sure Contacts is turned on in settings/icloud on both devices.
