Hello all,
I got my new iPad today. When I set it up I chose to restore from my iCloud back up on my iPhone 6. I thought I did the set up right, but something is not right. All of my apps are on my iPad, but they are not in there folders like they are on my iPhone. Also nun of my contacts are on my iPad like they are on my iPhone. What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it? Any help with this will be very much appreciated! Thank you.

my only guess would be...
Hi. When you restored from your iCloud backup, was it a recent one that you did from something like yesterday or very recently? The reason I ask is because if it all goes right, the iCloud backup is supposed to retain that information like your folders, and where the app was in that folder. My only other guess is that unless you have a really super fast internet connection, a restore from an iCloud backup is gonna take a while, and it's entirely possible that the backup hasn't completely finished to the point where it puts your apps into folders. Just some educated guesses there.
Yes I did a back up from
Yes I did a back up from yesterday. How would I know if my iPad is still doing a back up? This is my first iPad, so I don't know much yet.
iCloud settings
In iCloud settings, you should see the status of the restore. I'm not entirely sure where this would be, either in the main iCloud screen or in the specific backup section, as I have not done that process in some time and certainly not since iOs 9 has been released.
iClowd backup
hi there I'm doing an educated guess here too but when you do a restore fro a backup the folders are normally created from the very start of the restore and if you look at the folders it says how man maps are in there and if you tap on the folder ti will say the maps are being installed.
The phone's icloud settings
Icloud can be configured for what it does and doesn't back up. Be sure your phone's icloud settings include contacts.
