Question about iCloud

Hello, I have a question about iCloud: I have an iPhone 4s and often times, I sync my contacts to the iCloud service. Once I finish syncing them, or rather, once I turn off the contacts feature in iCloud, I'm asked whether I want to keep them on my iPhone or delete them from my iPhone. Because I am slightly concerned that they would be deleted, I'm a little apprehensive about selecting the delete option, but I usually receive old contacts when I opt to keep them on my phone. Has anyone tried that option before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance.

Hi. Bahzad If u deleted ur icloud u will keep the same contacts back in your iPhone I deleted mine and nothing happen; the only thing is that when u turn on the iCloud you will multiple copies of contacts if you have multiple email accounts
After I turned on the contacts feature in iCloud, I waited for a couple of seconds and then did a double tap on the same button again. this time, I decided to choose the option that said "Delete from my iPhone, "but found that the contacts seemed to be removed entirely. fortunately, I performed the same functions, Opting instead to select the "keep on my iPhone "option and my contacts reappeared. however, the old contacts that I removed previously returned to the list. Perhaps there is something I need to configure in iTunes in order to alleviate the issue. I'm not extremely concerned, though. I just wanted to know if there was a way to backup your contacts without having to delete and edit them over again. I still enjoy iCloud, because it gives people the opportunity to save their information should anything happen to their device.
Is it possible to browse your data that is saved on iCloud on the iCloud website? I am thinking of backing up to iCloud as well as iTunes.
Hi. Bahzad OH, yeah! I forgot to tell you Thanks for the info... when you want to turn off the contacts feature from iCloud you have the possibility to keep on the iPhone or remove entire on it... I will give you a tip: personally I dont use iCloud any more but I did, using the contacts feature on in iCloud you are able to delete contacts and after that sync to iCloud account, in other words you will have a new contacts list on iCloud, and turnning off the contacts feature from iCloud and selecting the option keep on my iPhone you will have the same list on the iPhone as well on iCloud too..
Thanks for the information. It's possible that I'm receiving old contacts again because I have two e-mail addresses on my phone, but I have only one associated with my Apple ID. I normally chek two e-mail accounts from the mail app, and that's all I really do there. I had chosen to keep the contacts on my iPhone, however this culminated in the list having old contacts and contacts whose old phone numbers resurfaced. Although the numbers of these individuals were up to date, I noticed that there were also telephone numbers that I had deleted as well. In the end, I had to remove the numbers and delete the contacts that I had already removed before I synced the list with iCloud. Aside from that, I don't have any complaints. I just wanted to know if there was a way to sync the contacts to iCloud without any apparent changes afterward. People get different phone numbers from time to time, which requires me to edit their information. I was just looking for a way to avoid that when I sync my contacts so I wouldn't have to do that over again after I turn the contacts off.
