Using Boot Camp

I have a 15-inch MacBook and have installed Boot Camp as I need to work in the Windows 8.1 environment at my job. I know there is a way to remap keys in Boot Camp using a program called SharpKeys. However, this program is only for Windows 7. I tried it in 8.1, and absolutely nothing was changed.

I really want to change the Alt, Windows, and Control keys while running Boot Camp. Does anyone have any suggestions for doing this in Windows 8.1?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi, Just a thought, but when you programmed the key swapping in sharp keys, did you map the keys in both directions...so if yu map the windows key to the alt key did you also map the alt key to the windows key? Took me ages to realise that you had to map in both directions. Like I say, just a thought, you may be right about it not working in 8.

Hi, I have boot camp on my MBP13 and it does work. I could remap all the keys I wanted and I have no problem with it.

I did not map in both directions. That is what I will try next, since the program appears to work in Windows 8.1. Thanks for the help.
