hello,

I am having a problem with my iPhone 6 when I'm using voice over, the keypad doesn't make any sounds when I try to use the keypad with voice over to make calls.

Is their a way I can resolve this please? I did speek to apple, but they don't know how to resolve this situation.

I have also gone to westfield stratford city in the united kingdom to the apple store their, but they were not sure either.

Regards,

Tolga.

Hello,

Has it worked before and just stopped? Just to be clear, when you press any numbers on the keypad, VO does not read out the numbers or letters? Does this also occur when your screen is locked and you’re trying to enter the password?

I know, lots of questios but we all want to hear the juicy details.

The only time that I ran into this problem is when using the rotor when a typing field is active. I have accidentally used the rotor to select typing mode and switch out of standard typing. That caused me to lose feedback somehow.

Hello,

This is odd. I have a 6 and worked on a few other 6s and never encountered this issue.

From what I gather, after getting the iPhone 6, it never worked. Not even during setup?

This is what I would do. Assuming you use windows, connect your phone to your PC. In iTunes, back up your device by going to File> Device then select Back up device. Once your phone is backed up, perform a factory restore. In iTunes, keep tabbing until you hear your iPhone’s name then press enter. Tab over then press the up or down arrow on your keyboard until you find summary. Keep tabbing until you find restore. Again, this is assuming you use Windows with a screen reader. If you use a Mac, just say so and I am sure someone will come along with the Mac instructions.

After the restore, triple click the home button to turn on VO and set up the phone as new. Along the way, it will ask you to enter your apple ID and password. In addition, it will ask you to provide a simple 4 digit password. You should hear the numbers or letters read aloud. If you don’t hear it, raise the volume wile pressing any keys to increase the typing volume just in case it’s set too low. If you still don’t hear anything, your phone may be defective and a call or trip to the Apple store is needed. When you make an appointment for the apple store, ask for an accessability specialist to assist you.

HTH and good luck.
