Description of App

Fast

Hermes beats Flash, hands down.

Free

Even if you don’t subscribe to Pandora One, Hermes is and always will be free for everyone. If you’d like to donate, however, you are welcome to.

Usable

Hermes pauses music when your computer sleeps and doesn’t resume on wake. It recovers from errors and picks up the song right where playback left off.

Features Like and dislike songs; create, edit and delete stations. Enjoy last.fm integration and song notifications which just aren’t possible with Pandora.

Accessibility Comments

The app is fully accessible so long as you have hints enabled (vo-shift-h on any button). Some labels are strange, but the hints seem to do a better job of explaining what buttons do. You will also want to use the drop down menus (vo-m) to check on the different keyboard shortcuts available. Once a station is playing, use space to pause or resume playback; I only mention this so you don't get blasted with music and can't hear VO speech to figure out how to stop it.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.

Other Comments

This is a great Pandora client, and it's small and free. It is much easier to use than Piano Pub or other ones I've tried.

thank you so much for posting this app. Its so simple and I don't even see any problems with the labels, other then one unlabeled button. great app.

I like this app too. Only thing I wish it provided was the reason why Pandora is playing a certain song. Some other clients provide this. Other than that, this app has been my go-to Pandora client since I found out about it quite awhile ago.

Thanks for adding this app to the Applevis database! It's exactly what I always wished PianoPub was--way more intuitive and just less frustrating to use.

This is a wonderful app. Thanks for adding it here. I may do a podcast on it at some point.

Almost every time I use the ap, it gives me an error message that says there was an internal error. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know why it's doing this? I've gotten it to play once, but haven't been able to get it to do it again.

I've experienced this, but don't know why it's going on. most annoying.
